Question about Accelevision DVD Player with Built-in TV Tuner (DVD1008) Car Video Player

DVD player won't turn on.

Hi, i have a Accelevision DVD-9520A that i just installed in my van. the power is off the ignition and when i turn it on the led's flash but it does not respond to the power button (turn on). i checked the power and it is ok at the plug. any suggestions? ironside

Hello
There is a built in protection fuse inside your DVD system, and there is no need to connect a fuse external. Anyway it is wise to connect a 4Amps 250VDC Slow blow type fuse and it will act as an extra protection. This is a glass cartridge type fuse, and can be bought from most of the electronc sparepart dealers. OK.

Usually fuses for those type of units are 7.5 - 10 amps.

This is a common problem on this model LG RH2Txxx DVD Recorder unit.
Source and install a new DVD player/burner unit - cost approx $120.

Easy to self instal with basic repair knowledge (+ philips screwdriver).
Remove top cover screws and cover,
Unclip front plastic front cover, roll out of way,
Remove 4 mount screws of DVD player/burner unit,
Unplug ribbon cable and DC power connection to DVD unit.
Install new unit by reverse of above procedure.

Well not saying this is the case for this radio but they usualy come with some pretty standard wiring colors. I have listed the most common colors and there usual function. Again this is a pretty general list and may not be 100% accurate for your application. Hope it helps.

Farenheit car dvd install ?

Try Hokking the Yellow Memory wire to a 12 V supply. I should work. If you need the dvd to turn off automatically change your red 12 V to ignition.
