I have recently purchased a IN1 Gaming Projector however, after i have turned it on and it has warmed up it just turns it's self off with no warning, or display to indicate that it is over heating.
Is this may be just the lamp or something more terminal
Send it in to Infocus to be fixed, or try the fan thing.
Hi, I just bought the same projector Infocus IN1 and after just 15 minutes of use it turned off due to overheating. It seems that the lamp is very ineffecient and produces too much heat. The ambient temperature in the room is only 16 deg. celcius.
The solution I came up with is to have a standing fan blowing air directly on the back of the projector from less than a foot away. The standing fan which we usually use here in summer was enough to keep the projector cool. The infocus IN1 did not switch off for the next 2 hours (the entire length of the movie), until i turned it off myself. I am not sure how this system will fare in summer when the room temperature reaches 30 deg. celcius.

I have an IN1 Infocus gaming projector also. I have had it for about 4 months and it just started shutting off after about 10-15 min. After looking at many reviews for this projector I have found that it is a regular problem with all the infocus projector models. One tech called it an "irregular shut down" and the lady who had it had to send the whole projector in to be fixed. If the company has this problem so much then why is there no recall to fix it.
