Not recognize usb printer hp laserjet 3050

You can download the driver for your printer on Hp's website located at www.hp.com. click on support and then download software/drivers. Enter the name and model of your printer and find the file made for your version of windows. Then just follow the prompts to download and then install the printer. Make sure not to donnect the usb cable again until the install prompts you to do so. Once the driver is installed, the pc will recognize the printer when the usb cable is connected.

Is this the first time you connect your printer on that computer? This can be the USB port does not support a 2.0, or your data cable/printer cable is damage.

After installing the printer software you need to program scanning software.
Below are the steps to program scanning software:

To program the Scan To button:

Select Start/Programs or All Programs (Windows XP)/HP/HP Laserjet 3050, 3052, 3055, 3390, 3392/Scan
Click the Setup to open the Scan To Setup Wizard.
Select the Change the destinations that show up on the all-in-one control panel when I press the <Scan To> button and then click Next .
Check the Allow me to scan by pressing the Scan To button on the all-in-one check box.
Choose the destination by moving them from the PC window (the left window) to the All-in-one window (the right window).
NOTE: The All-in-one window might contain items set up by other computers that are connected to the all-in-one. You cannot make changes to these items.
Click Update .
To Create a destinations:
Follow steps 1-2 from the above steps.
Select Create a new destination with settings that I will specify and then select Next .
Select the Save it to my computer and then press Next .
Select the scan preferences and then select Next .
Select the scan destination folder and file format type and then select Next .
NOTE: If you wish to use a custom folder for your scan destination, you will need to create the folder prior to this setup wizard in order to browse to it.
Select the quality level you would like the file to be saved as.
Name the new destination on the computer, check the Send this new destination to the all-in-one check box, and enter a name for the display on the all-in-one. Then select Next .
Confirmation allows you to verify your settings. Select Save .
Once the new destination has been saved, the new destination will be configured as one of the Scan To destinations on the printer.

try to reinstall the printer using the laserjet driver instead of laserjet 6L. it's the remedy for that kind of problem..

try to connect the usb of your printer at the back usb ports of your CPU. and try to scan your device.

Do as follows inst.
Unplug your printer usb on your system. then attach it back to your computer then power on your printer.

Do right click my computer>properties> in system properties select hardware> then, click the Device Manager> tab, then select your device on PORTS. then click the scan for hardware changes> to scan your device. this icon can be found above or click Action menu and select >scan for hardware changes.

then restart PC. Hope you can do it. And it will help you.
