If you have tried running the "eliminate light stripes" process in the troubleshoot print quality without success, you may want to look at the print quality sheet and do "jet substitution" on the ink nozzle numbers that aren't printing out. That will slightly slow down the printing, but will eliminate white streaks down your prints.
Unfortunatly, because its a color ink jet machine you will need to replace the ink to print anything. The way its designed is that it has one printer head for all four cartridges.
When you replace the color ink you will deffinetly be able to print.
go into the printer and do a test print. start>printer & faxes>right click on the printer in question>properties>printer preference button> test print ... try the printer's own test print. This is usually caused by a poor print head, low ink, poor cartridge or the need for calibration. Look in the maintenance tab in the printer properties for head cleaner, jet cleaner etc. This also happens with refill ink cartridges.
Dear louis, You have done right thing by cleaning the print head. If the print head still clogged after repeatedly cleaning, It seems that the print head need to be replace with new one. Make it sure by printing nozzle check pattern. Is it good or not?. Regards,
what happens when you make a copy from the glass (bot the doc feeder), or a print..
if this happens only when using the Doc Feed.
Look at the Slit_Glass, if there is drit on it, clean it, and try again?
Could also be the ink is leaking in the machine? clean the ink cartridges and where the Ink Cartridges are inserted.
