Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WD640 Front Load Washer/Dryer

Earth Fault At the end of a wash cycle when the door lock is waiting to disengage the machine trips the house circuit RCD. If left in the same cyle position the RCD cannot be reset. If the position is moved the RCD can be reset and a new cycle begun. Checking the plug, there is a closed circuit between the earth and live (when in the cycle end position). This fault occurs approx every 2nd cycle or every cycle. What could be causing this?

Why does my the machine keep tripping the GFCI

without any further information, I think that your machine has an Earth (ground) fault with one of its components, but you do not say when or in what part of the wash cycle it is happening.
If it is during a Heat Cycle, I would suspect the Heater, but if it is in wash or spin, I would suspect a motor, or associated component is at fault. However, it is not unknown for the drain pump to cause this fault.
If you have no experience, I would strongly suggest that you employ a qualified Service Engineer to look at the machine

Hotpoint washing machine HV8B593 trips RCD after a few secs without start button being pressed

If it trips the RCD then you have an electrical fault. Washing machine can do this once they are a bit old, or if they have had a water leak. The water gets into the electrical equipment and causes a fault that trips the RCD. If you have a circuit without an RCD try that. If it still trips, then the fault is serious and you will need to get it repaired. You can also try putting the washing machine into a warm place for a few days to see if it will dry everything out. Sometimes this will cure a fault if it is due to dampness.

My fisher and payment washing machine takes out the power to the house when we turn it on at the power unit

Hi, this sound like a serious fault that is tripping house rcd.
(a safety device that detects imballence between live/netural/earth)
So, UNPLUG THE MACHINE, TO STOP YOU GETTING A SHOCK ,AS IT WILL HURT YOU WHILST ITKILLS YOU, look inside for burnt cables, damaged wires, water leaks onto/over ANY THING THAT SHOULD BE DRY.
Is it tripping instantly at turn on, or at the same point along in cycle, ie pump running to empty machine, that will narrow down the area to look at.
BE CAREFUL THOUGH, AS WATER, ELECTRICITY AND HUMANS DO NOT MIX WELL.....

Bosch EXXCEL 7 1200 trips the RCD before even starting

Sounds like you keep the washing machine in an environment which is either damp or not well ventilated.if condensation or moisture finds it's way onto the main control panel of said machine it will cause short circuits which will then trigger the house protection circuits.quick solution is to gain access to the control panel by removing the top after disconnecting power supply.then using a hair dryer over the circuit board panel for about five minutes, reconnect power and keep hands away from any internals and try to repeat the problem.if it still trips it could be a faulty relay or that the main pcb has failed.have you recently experienced local thunderstorms as this is another possible reason for damage to pcbs.

Fridge freezer tripping rcd

Ensure it fully dries out before trying it again. Water in the electrics will throw your trip instantly. If it's dry now, and you are having the same problem. check the electrics for a short circuit or earth fault. Usually a compressor earth fault is to blame.

Servis m6160w logic 1600 tripping rcd

many servis have an induction motor but later models have a brush motor.
worn brushes will not cause an earth fault. suspect part of the motor windings are down to earth. also possible you have a leak in the tub or door gasket so that on spin, water is thrown onto an electrical item

Hot point washing machine WMA 32

It's unusual for a household RCD to go out on excess current from an appliance - the fuse in the plug top and circuit fuse/MCB in the consumer unit should provide closer protection. This leaves you with an earth fault. Earth faults aren't usually related to motor load. Watch carefully what phase of the cycle the trip happens. Does it correlate with the start of water heating? A very frequent cause of low current earth faults is water ingress into the heating element. If you can trip the RCD reliably on every cycle, running the same cycle with the element disconnected would confirm whether or not this is the cause. A.

need to know a little more really but here goes, if you remove the top and the drive belt is still on then it will be as straight forward as the motor brushes at fault they will need replacing as this is a common fault on these machines. hope this helps
