It is my sisters camera, i dont know exacly what happened when it stopt working but when I turn the camera on I can hear the lens (or what it is) move a little bit and then stop. At the same time the yellow light that indicates power turns on and off again after a second or so. This happens when I try to turn it on both ways possible (both with the "lens cover" and with the grean Play Button".
Nothing else happens. I have pickt it apart but I dont know where to begin. The LCD display is black and shows nothing.
you can't fix the problem yourself.Because i think there is a problem with lens assy. and to fix this problem you have to repair
or replace the lens assy.
so pls take it to the Fuji shop.

Be sure you have formatted the card, not the internal memory (if the camera has that). Be sure your battery is fully charged, so that the device can fuly write the file. Be sure you are writing the file to the card, and not the internal memory, as there may not be enough space on it to write the file. If this does not resolve the problem, let me know.
If your new xD card is an "H" or "M" type card, it is only compatable with the A340 following a firmware upgrade to the camera. http://www.fujifilm.ca/x3721.xml is a link to the software and steps you can take to perform the upgrade.
