Question about RCA 27F530T 27" TV

1 Answer

Televison problem My television turned off by itself and I turned it back on, but when I turned it back on it tells me that this channel has not been approved for viewing. Change the channel or press OK to enter password and deactivate the parental control. I've tried entering my password but it keeps telling me incorrect password try again.

Have you had any storms come around recently? This sounds like the EEPROM IC is corrupt and probably needs to be changed. If you know how to solder maybe you can change it your self. If your not good at soldering then you can have a pro assist you with this repair Good Luck

LG 42LC7D-UB after few minutes the sound goes off and channel change by itself

When heats up, the supply voltage from the main power supply board goes less. Check all the soldering to this board for any loose solder terminals. Resolder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more solder. If it do not help you, replace the board as card basis.

The DVD player is plugged into one of the television's input channels, and the satellite is plugged into a different channel. You will have to take either your television's remote (not the staellite remote) or find a button on your television itself, and press a button that says "input," "source," "video," or "TV/VCR" and find the correct channel on your television that corresponds to the DVD player. If you give me the model # and manufacturer of your television, I can tell you exactly which button to press.

What make/model is the TV?

If it's in a cabinet or other enclosure, try taking it out - it may be overheating.

TV turns on and changes channels on its own

Keeps changing channel
Check voltage on D12 if below 4.8V then change
Changes channel or volume adjusts by itself
Check S900/1/2 on pcb H1, alternatively this could be due to failure of IC005 (CD4052BCM-FL63) on pcb A

These things are much like computers. Turn it off and let it clear itself -- wait a minute or two -- and turn it on. It might reboot. Don't pay $1000. I saw a comprable 42 inch plasma on "Tiger Direct" yesterday for $699.
