Question about Sanyo DWM400 DVD Player

No picture When I put a DVD into the player, the sound is fine, and the DVD plays; however, no matter what I've tried, the picture won't come up on the screen.

How is the player plugged into the TV set? Are you using the S-video or RCA type plugs? Have you tryed a differant input on a differant TV? It could also be your cables. If you tryed differant cables and a differant input then your problem is a broken connection on the video jack or in the video output processor IC inside the unit and thats not a user fixable problem, Sorry. The DVD player on my Dell Inspiron-530S won't work, you can hear it like it's trying to load but the play screen never comes up.

no, your dvd drive has gone bad. to check if it is working or not your try to manually open the content of the cd and try copy on the hard drive. if it copies fine then the cd is good if not cd is bad. you might get a error message of bad sector or data randomization.

Panasonic DVD-S31 won't play sound

Did you change the audio cable, "just to rule out" If it won't work on the Tv or stereo, there probably is a audio processor problem, or a issue with the laser pickup assembly, to repair this kind of problem would not justify the cost.

No matter what DVD I load in the player, it won't play the DVD. It says "Cannot play this disk". What's the problem?

The first thing to try is to clean the laser itself by using a cleaning disc. If that fails then most likely the pickup laser is no longer any good. This is usually obvious if you place an audio CD in the unit and it plays fine : )

My RCA XL100 is hooked up to cable and works perfectly fine. We've had it for ages and the picture is clear, sound is beautiful, and it gets along fine with my universal remote. There's just one...

Some of their very old sets the video input was located on channels in the 90's; Try scrolling down from 99 to 90 to see if you locate the video input; this is just the way they did things in the older sets.

Before you rate this solution let me know what you find first.

I cant get the tv to go through the surround sound i can only get the surround sound to play when its a dvd playing do i need another wire to go from the dvd player or will it not work no matter what plz...

If you've got the Audio Input Source set as TV-Audio and it won't play as Surround Sound then you'll need to connect the Audio Out from your TV (if it has one?) to the Audio AUX IN on your LH-T360SE and change the Audio Input Source to AUX.

Clear sound with jumping picture

either the disc ur inserting is dirty or the laser needs cleaning try cleaning ur laser first then the disc if the problem prosist take the dvd player back
