Printed documents are permeated with horizontal yellow lines, which eventually dissapear after I print perhaps 30 sheets. But this is becoming unsustainable and very annoying. Can you help?
Thanks for your feedback. I printed the test page, and the quality is perfect except for 6 vertical yeallow lines- no other colours. So, I don't know where to go from here. can youhelp please.
Thanks very much, Kind regards Suzie

Try printing a test page by going to Start>Control Panel>Printers then select the printer, right click for Properties and click on Print test page. Inspect for all colors. If all colors are present then check the resolution settings. Which application are you printing from?

Run a nozzle check. If there are gaps do head cleaning. When printing pictures it best to set the setting to best photo to get good print outs.
Goodluck.
Not sure if the situation we're in is the same. I have a similar problem, but instead of yellow lines, it is pink lines. printer is Epson RX510. The lines are more prominent if the print quality mode used is best and if the document to be printed requires the affected color. Upon consultation with the printer technician, I was adviced that it is the print head which has a problem, and changing it is costly and the repair duration even depends on parts availability. With that, I just decided to use the printer just as is. Hope this info helps.
Hello, you may need to update your printer at epson's website, or reinstall it. here's the link to epsons drivers homepage:

Hi kids!
I decided to have another go at sorting out my 'lines' problem and have sorted it.
See if this might work for you:
I had previously done the head cleaning via the printer itself - holding the central ink/paper black button for 3 secs.
This time I went to the Epson 1290 window on my Mac and clicked on the utility box. Though the Nozzle check print came out fine I went ahead and did the head cleaning in this box.
The next print came out almost perfect so I ran the Head cleaning again and it printed a perfect print.
Hope this might work for you. Keep on trying! All the best. Trant
Did u clean the print nozzle's as well? If that does not solve your problem, you should try and replace the cartridge. (Colour in case of blue lines and black in case of black lines)
