We have a relatively new Bosch fridge-freezer. It has started chuntering away like a motor-bike in the corner of the room. It flls silent if either door is opened. Sometimes it falls quiet and runs sweetly for hours before starting this racket again. Any ideas?

What is the Complete model number and the date you bought the fridge!

It sounds like it may be a faulty fan or fan clutch from here, if it's not something else very simple!

Send me the info requested and do a repair search for you !
Waiting for your response!

Here are some common noise problems till I look your unit up
!

1.Check that the fridge is level, using a spirit level!
2. Appliance is touching some other unit or appliances, or counter or wall.
3. Drawers, baskets,or storage ares are loose, or sticking!
4.Receptacles or bottles are touching. Move them away from each other,
ESPECIALLY ON THE DOOR,because it's quiet when the doors are open!

I have a LG model LFX25960ST refrigerator with an error code of FF. I know this means the freezer fan, but is that one of the fans located in the freezer? When looked up online, neither of those two fans...

yes, its located on the freezer; behind the rear wall. yours has 2 fans; one for the ice cube room (upper left corner) and the fridge/freezer motor (in middle) behind rear freezer wall. this is the motor you will need. the part number should be on it.

Suspected broken fan prevents top fridge section cooling down

Very good diagnosis and conclusion. That price for the motor is about right. I think you will not have any truble with the ciculation after you install the motor.

Bosch fridge not cooling freezer fine

if back wall of freezer has ice or thick build up you may have a defrost problem or if not the evaporator fan motor could be bad, not moving cold air from freezer to refrigerator.

remove freezer back panel and you will see a tray at the bottom with a drain hole in the middle and it is this which is blocked. if blocked with ice, clear with some hot water and make sure drain is free and water flows away

Bosch Fridge freezer will not work

This is a Solution posted by a guy called Sandy Small in october 2005 and believe or not it works

Repair to Bosch fridge freezer KGV3104GB

This MIGHT be the same as yours!

Detach top panel above fridge door and "hinge" it down towards you attached to its connecting wires. See if the connector on the right has a thick black wire (nearest the fridge) and two brown wires. The faulty fridge temp. sensor can be shorted out by connecting the black wire to the brown wire next to it. I managed this by bridging the corresponding points on the PCB with a blob of solder. My fridge freezer works OK now on the freezer sensor. Hope this works with yours!

Bosch KGU32160 fridge freezer

The compressor behind the fridge should cycle on and off as the machine maintains temperature, but the evaporator fan inside the freezer will keep running, except when the fridge goes into defrost. If the noise is coming from the fan inside the freezer, there could be some ice on the frame of the fan and the blades are touching the ice. If the noise is coming from behind the fridge it could be the condensor fan motor. This fan is situated behind the fridge in front of or next to the compressor. It keeps the condensor cool by blowing air onto it. Check this fan. The blades could be touching the pipework or something.
