It sounds like you need a new keypad. Unplug the microwave and then plug it in again. if you get an F3 error message it will confirm the keypad is bad.

does it have a box on it? where verizon is already digital ready all tv's need a box around the house. if you need a box or technical help call the office at 888-553-1555

In your menu from your remote you should be able to find a search mode that you can manually select. at that point you should be able to select source and start a search.

The button may be defective or you may need to use the remote to select the input source. ie vidio line in or vidio 1

Bad news if you see burned parts the board is a gonner. SMD and very difficult to repair. most time a replacement is the only repair. The board you are looking at is probably the inverter board. the inverter drives the back lights on the lcd display. Some of these boards can be costly. on some of these sets they use combo boards * ie signal and digital and power supply all on one board
