Hi there, I have a Fuji finepix 2650 and for some reason the LCD screen won?t work. It comes on but it is not showing any picture just a blue screen with black lines through it. The big problem is that I cannot use any of the controls, as I have to see where I am navigating! Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks a lot, Leesa.

FUJI PHOTO FILM U.S.A., INC. announces that some of the FinePix A303, F410, and F700 digital camera models may develop a problem with the CCD imaging sensor. However, the problem affects a limited number of units and may not occur in all cameras.
The symptoms are captured images that appear completely black, have a purplish cast or multi- colored distortions. These symptoms would be seen on the camera LCD monitor when the camera is in the shooting mode or during playback. A limited number of these models will have these problems.
Your camera is certainly giving the signs of a bad CCD but it's not on Fuji's list.
But don't worry I had my 602Z fixed for free out of warranty and there's plenty of reports of other Fuji models not listed being repaired.
Email Fuji and explain what your camera is doing and as long as you have the warrabty card and proof of purchase they should help you out. GOOD LUCK

if u see white screen or noisy picture on lcd and lcd show info and signs and pictures also turn out to be blank when u see them on pc

worry i have the same problem with my Fuji S5000 i contacted fuji and they
repaired it free of charge bcoz it is a known problem in thousands of
cameras of different brands just call them in ur area and they will do
it free of charge

Hi, I sometime have problems with the usb ports on my HP. If I move the cord to another port it usually works for me. Hope this helps. Steve [email protected]
Try the fuji 800 number they may be able to sell you a new driver cd. otherwise you can buy a card reader at any camera store that will eliminate the need for software completely for about $15.
I had one that went through 3 screens over 5 years. They are fixable, but finding a cheap replacement may be difficult. You can check eBay for 2650 parts cameras. I can give you instructions if you locate the screen and want to do the repair yourself. New parts from Fuji probably not cost effective.

sometimes on FinePix Cameras, in order to turn on the display, you need to press " |<>|" both buttons at once for the display come one.
another thing to try is to press longer on the selection button, that can do the trick, otherwise i would say it's broken, needs to get fixed.
There may be one of a number of faults, from the shutter being stuck,
to some of the circuitry having died.
Either ask fuji how much a repair would be, or ebay it as not-working,
for others to pick apart.
