"LOCK" icon I just bought this yp-p2, charged the battery, but when I try to tum it on, the "LOCK" icon comes on and it shuts down. I can't get it to do anything! I tried pushing the reset button but that didn't help. Can you help? Thanks

it locked just slide the hold swith above the pwer button *facepalm*

the battery seem to be bad replace the unit.

Hold down the reset hole at the back of the player until the player shuts off.
It should work fine once turned back on.

check for the internal batteries its might be dead through a long time without use.
try charge it or connect it.

battery can fully charged but if contacts of the tray are dirt than no current can pass through. firstly check contacts, switch showing that it is come out, after pushing it in, also check for polirities of batteries.

The YP-P2 did not come with a manual for me, so I assume that none of them come with it (possibly to save money). You can download the manual on Samsung's website. Relax. You just plug the P2 to your pc and open SMS (the program which came with the P2), and open up an application called EMODIO. If you dont have it, you need to upgrade the SMS program. Good luck.

HEYY. okay. mine did the exact same thing but i took a toothpick and pressed the "reset" button on the back of the player. after i hit it once or twice, i tried turning it on and it worked.

I called tech support because i was having the same problem....on the back, there is a reset button (YP-P2JAR at least) you must hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then turn it on. Worked for me!

sometime you need to discharge the battery completely those charger are electronic they dont charge properly if the battery not fully discharge cheers
