While it could be the battery, it could also be the internal charger in the spotlight. When you plug it in, it bypasses the charger and uses the connected power. However, it is likely just a bad battery. The batteries only last 3 years in an ideal setting and since these lights are typically only used certain times of the year, the batteries discharge and go bad. SOURCE: looking for replacement parts for vector spot light

The bulb you are looking for to fit these vector spot lights is an automotive bulb, and H3 with a PK22s base. They come with a cable and a nickle size disk at the base of the bulb. They come in several wattages, eg 55w and 100w. Try the "bulbs.com" website, in their search box type "H3 PK22s" and you will see they have a variety of wattages and voltages.
