First, take off the cover and you will see the bulb. You must have the unit unplugged and do not touch anything else inside the unit after you take off the cover. Theres a capacitor in there that holds a big charge.. Change the bulb as you may have to go to the hardware store as it may not be a regular bulb Most are not. Good Luck

How do you change a light bulb in a panasonic 1100 microwave oven?

Some microwaves have a small panel on the side which you will need to undo a screw . Open the small panel and unscrew the bulb.
Others have a small square panel inside which may look like card that you can slide out and remove the bulb.

GE JES1288SH03 Microwave browning oven (2006. How/where do I access to replace interior light bulb?

The lamp is located inside your microwave oven. The outside enclosure has to be removed to access it. Beware of dangerous voltages exposed when the cover is removed.

How do I change the light bulb in a JES 1451 ?

On this model, it's not meant to be a user serviceable part.

You would have to remove the outer cover, and then the light bulb is located on the air duct attached to the magnetron on the right side of the innards.

You can find helpful exploded views and order the bulb assembly from the Pros here.

Enter your full model number from the tag with suffix and no spaces.

How to change bulb

You have to remove the outer cabinet to access the bulb. Please be careful doing this because the capacitor inside holds enough energy to kill you. And obvioulsy you have to have it unplugged before you take it apart. Many of these microwave ovens had light bulbs that came with the base and all (no socket) so you had to replace the whole base, not just the bulb. But chances are yours will have a bulb that will unscrew from a socket. Again don't touch anything else in there. You may want to consider having a tech do it for you if you're not used to working around high voltage. Good luck

Cant get light out of socket it broke off

This is pretty common and can be a pain. It's tacked in place with contact cement or hot glue, and sometimes there may have been enough moisture to corrode and seize up.

PLEASE unplug the oven first, and always unplug it when inserting or removing light bulbs.

Otherwise, or a surge can occur that damages the control circuit board. More info here.

You could heat it up (hair dryer, maybe?) then use needle nose pliers. Be careful if heating so you don't burn anything.

You may be able to put the tips of needle nose pliers inside the broken bulb's socket, gently but firmly force the pliers jaws apart and then rotate the pliers to loosen it.

Another cool trick is to put a big glob of hot glue on the end of a stick or dowel, then shove it into the broken base and let it cool about 5 minutes, then turn the stick.

I like to put a little WD-40 or rust buster on the threads of the new bulb, too. Grease, Vaseline, cooking oil, or anything like that will work. Just a tiny bit.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

The interior bulb of my ge spacemaker oven jvm1490sh01 has blown out. How do I go about replacing it? Thanks

HI,
I looked up your model and found that if you remove the grill above the door, you can ***** the bulb area. With the grill removed, in the middle left side, you will see either a black or metal looking cover, if I remember correctly you slide the cover back toward the wall and lift up. There is where your bulb should be.
If you would like unplug the micro way before you enter this area for safety only. I normally don't but I know what I am looking for.
Good luck, be safe

Looks like you just have to take off the outer cover. From the parts diagram I looked at this looks like a counter top unit. If so, unplug the unit and then remove the outer cover and then locate the lamp and replace it. Looks pretty easy to get to.

How do I change the light bulb INSIDE the microwave?

What you need to do is remove the case of the microwave and you should be able see the globe inside the unit, make sure you discharge the high voltage capacitor before touching anything else. After that is done, simply remove the globe. Good Luck.
