When just watching TV the channel box is constantly in the top right corner. When I go to menu box it disapears. This was not here and we must have changed something? I have went throught the book and made multible changes to affect this with no luck. Thanks Jim
I have the same kind of tv and I was having the same kind of problem, however since the tv waas given to me without a remote I had to purchase a universal remote. the general Electric universal remote I bought works for turning off the channel display. you just push the info button. they are virtually inexspensive as well I purchased mine from target for $9.99.

There should be a button on the remote called display and this should turn off the channel display. If it dosent then have the remote checked and make sure its working in that function. A universalo remote wont work as well in most cases. Good Luck
