I've had this problem a few times with my craig mp3/mp4 player, and I found if you let the battery run all the way thru, then turn it off, plug it back into your computer, and turn it back on.....it will load to the "connect" screen.
OK to Disconnect just means ur battery is full and no files are in transfer to the device. After changing battery, the device will update fora minute, if after a decent ammount of time goes by and nuthing happens, use a pin and hold down the reset button, forcing the device to power down, turn it back on and try to let it update again
Remove the battery for at least 3 minutes and then put it back in.. be sure it''s fresh and fully charged
2. VERY IMPORTANT...Turn the "Hold button" ON.. (slide it to the right)
3. Now, plug it into the computer, it would be better if you used a USB 2 port that is located on the back of the computer (it''s on the motherboard) 4. Go to "MY Computer" and see if it shows up as a "Removable disk" 5. If it''s there, then reformat it to ...FAT32...not FAT.if you need help with reformatting let me know. EDIT* When I called Sandisk on 1-3-07, the tech I spoke with instructed me to reformat to FAT32. Now (2-14-07) I get this from them..."(select "FAT" if the capacity of your Sansa is less than 2GB. For larger players, select "FAT32"). I found I lost a few megs when I formated to FAT32 on my m240, but didn't notice any other difference.
6 Unplug it and let it finalize. Give it lots of time. 7. Return the "Hold button" to off
I hope that helps

When I plug my mp3 player
into the Usb port, the screen goes to the connected screen for a split
second. Then it goes back to the normal screen. The mps player will
continue to go back and forth betwwen the two not really connected or
playing untill I unplug the cord then its normal.
I also have windows vista. I inserted the disc that came along with the ilo mp3 player and it accepted and recognizes the player. My husband and I bought it for our daughter for Christmas and she loves it. I would suggest uninstalling the program from the disc then reinstalling it. It took the 1st time for us when we downloaded. I hope this help's you out.
