I own a Kenmore frot loading clothes washer. The washer works fine except during the spin cycle. Even though it spins a loud noise is coming from the machine. This noise happens on fast and also normal spin settings. It almost sounds if someone is landing an airplane in my laundry room.
If the washer is making a squealing noise, the problem is more likely to be the basket drive. If it is more like a rattling sound, the centerpost bearings are probably worn out. Open machine's rear panel and spin the basket manually by turning the drive pulley, to find out from where exactly the noise come from. Defective part should be replaced. Good luck !!

SOURCE: Loud Noise - Spin Cycle
It sounds like the bearings are going bad. Try spinning the drum with your hand while it is empty. It should spin nice and smooth. If the rotation feels a little rough and noisy, you might have a problem. You can double check by taking the drive belt off and try shaking the pulley. If there is "play" when shaking the pulley, the bearings are most likely toast. The inner stainless drum rides on two bearings which sit in the rear of the outer plastic drum. The whole plastic drum and bearings come as one piece and go for $150. It would cost about the price of a new maching to have someone come out and repair it for you. It sounds like kenmore has had a bearing problem which is pretty rediculous considering how much these things cost. Sears said, "those tend to go in a few years", which is criminal especially since the warrenty is usually conveniently exopired by the time this problem happens. If you are handy, have a spare day, and can remember how to put a washing machine back together, go for it. I did it and it was not a fun time. There is a lot of sharp metal edges in the machine so wear gloves. good luck

Our Kenmore front loading washer has a spin cycle that sounds like a rocket ship blasting off. Is that normal? It's so loud that it's unbearable to be in the room during the spin cycle, and even with the door shut, you can hear the spin cycle throughout our house. I've also noticed that recently, after running a load of laundry, shreds of the rubber interior are shaved off and deposited near the door of the washer or in our actual clothes. Any idea of what could cause this? Thanks!
heard a loud noise during the spin cycle and when I checked on it it continued to spin but in a wobbly circle. after i got the clothes out it still spins but not in a circular motion
The washer is now making a loud noise during the spin cycle. It sounds like bearing failure.
made loud noise while spinning .finished 2 more loads and washer died.what can I check?
When washer goes into a spin cycle it sounds like a jet taking off and water leaks from underneath the unit.
Front loader kenmore. loud screeching noise during fast spin cycle
I've called LG and they have sent repair. Repairman replaced "shocks", said it was repaired and left. When i went in to start a load of laundry, the repairman had paused the spin cycle at 12 minutes. I started it to complete the spin cycle and it still made a loud noise. Any sugggestions
Dark liquid spraying from under washer while in use. Washer working fine , although has been gradually getting louder during spin cycle for around 5 weeks.
Not sure, that model # is actually 44092. It could be an older model. I think, I bought it between 1993 and 1997. I has been working like a charm. Now, the drum is rumbling like crazy making loud clunking noises during the spin cycle, if the load is not perfectly evenly distributed, which is most of the time. I took the back panel off, as well as the belt and unscrewed the bolt holding the belt wheel in place. All four suspensions for the drum are fine and in place. It must be something mechanical inside the barrel that holds the drum. Any ideas, what it might be and how to get to it?
Thanks in advance.
machine empty spins fast, laundry in it wont spin
fast spin loud noise
Went through all cycles and machine is spinning but not fast at all. Pump is working and found pieces of belt ribs in bottom of machine. Appears that the bearing is making a noise as well. Could the bearing be seizing enough to keep it from spinning fast enough or is it just the wore out belt?
In the spin mode the washer is loud and not spinning smooth. What can be the problem? There is also water that is till left in the bottom of the basket.
sounds like jet engine in spin cycle
Loud clicking noise on right side of machines (looking from front) is happening during spin cycle.
my amana washer model alw432ra... recently began sounding like an airplane in all spin cycles... still works no other problems love the machine hate to buy another washer... can this be fixed ???? thank you
load noise during the fastest part of the spin cycle
loud spin cycle
Just during the spin cycle, the washer is now significantly louder than in the past. Probably started about two weeks ago, no changes made that would be a direct cause.
