For that type of problem you will probably want to call a local tv repair shop and set up a service call. Average price is 60-80 dollars to have a professional check the set and provide you with an estimate. To me it sounds like maybe the vertical circuit has failed if you have colors across the center of the screen. Also there is probably a resistor and capacitor that need to be replaced on this one. Usually it is a repair that most shops will be able to handle for less than 1/2 the value of the unit which is the breakoff point for most people.
