Bluish color to copied photos

When I try to copy photos, either black and white or color, the completed copy has a bluish cast. The printer says it has enough ink in both cartridges; however, the color cartridge is lower in ink than the black cartridge.

Replace color cartridge:Reason: Color cartridge carries three color for color combination, in that any one of color empty or dried up color combination wont happen perfectly, result printer get mismatch colors.. In your case it might be magenta color over.. replace color cartridge to get good print outs..

Testimonial: "When I checked the ink levels it said the ink was still satisfactory; however, I replaced the color cartridge and things worked correctly. Thanks"

1. If you have checked Economode setting (sam88kid), and still have problem.
Run cleaning page off printer, then do color calibration, follow up with configeration page. If you still have the problem, your last resort may to try the Cyan toner in another printer.
Next you should contact HP helpline direct as the cyan toner should be considered defective and should be replaced under warranty, either directly by HP or through your suppling retailer.

New cartridges often need a few prints before acting good. Try to clean the heads of the printer also. If the problem consists maybe you need new cartridges.

SOURCE: Printer has not been used for 2 yrs. I use it to make copies.

I'm sorry. The printer needs both cartridges (which holds the ink) and printheads (which distributes the ink) as well as the scanner to copy a page for you, since even copying is a print job.

SOURCE: hp 3180 print cartridge light blinking

hi,

is the ink cartridge you replaced hp brand or did you refill it this is an incompatibility code from the software. some brands and cartridges are not fully compatible and creates an e code error code. if it is hp brand it is likely a defective sensor chip in the ink cartridge. i would for best assurance return the cartridge for a different one and then recheck. if niot you may need to restore your software or reinstall it most of the time this will fix the problem.

hope this helps..happy computing!

Yes. You cannot use the printer even in black and white, until the color cartridge is replaced. They are designed to check the levels of the both black and color cartridges.

My printer copy's in color but prints photos in black and white,

Check your settings for your printer software program, change it to black and white, and then you will need to change it back to color, if you want to print in color.

Can the copy setting be defaulted to black and white document?

You can set it to B+W but it will revert to its default setting the next time you print.

HP 2600N PRINTS A BLACK LINE VERTICALLY ACROSS THE PAGE (FROM TOP TO BOTTOM) RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE EVERYTIME YOU PRINT SOMETHING . WHAT COULD THIS BE? I HAVE CLEANED EVERY DRUM, THE FILM ETC AND IT KEEPS...

You either have a defective black toner, a bad fuser or transfer belt. From my experence it is usually a bad toner cartridge. After you print a couple of pages, pull the black toner and see if there is anything on the drum. If there is try shaking the toner, sometimes toner does like dirt and clogs up. If you still have problem you will have to try another toner. I know that is not cheep, but I don't know any other way.

Error 9-363

NOTE: The problem occurs because of the trickle development system in the machine, making extended lengths of black and white copies / prints does not allow the black developer housing to purge itself of excess waste Toner (Dry Ink) and Developer. There are two solutions for the problem:
  • Make 1,000 copies / prints of a black and white job, then make 150 copies / prints of full color. Continue making 1,000 copies / prints of the black and white job, then 150 full color, and so on, until the entire black and white job is complete.
  • Make extended jobs in groups of 100 by making 100 copies / prints of the black and white job, then allowing the machine to cycle down (return to 'Ready') and making the next 100 copies / prints. Continue in this pattern until the entire black and white job is complete.
NOTE: The above solutions are based on jobs using 8.5 x 11 inch paper, single sided, with no more than 28% coverage.
