I can review pictures taken, but the camera won't take new pictures. The LCD screen shows a green, yellow and red dot with an arrow pointing to the red dot.
Nope, there are only 3 pictures on the camera. It's not full. I guess it's just broken.Nope, there are only 3 pictures on the camera. It's not full. I guess it's just broken.

Most screens can be turned off for low battery usage. Check battery with tester or have it tested or replace battery and check menu and see if review screen is turned off. Rich
1) this is indicative the lcd camera has been faulty. 2) you must replace it. 3) contact your company supplier, and get the parts, you can do it yourself, only need small screwdrivers and common sense. God bless you
Strangely my C-765 has changed and takes picture on P and download to PC on green arrow before did both on green arrow, maybe others are having the same experience?
Your camera works just like a film camera SLR,. You use the eyepiece
to frame and focus your picture. The LCD screen is for reviewing
pictures taken or menu operations. You cannot preview a shot on screen before it is taken with the camera.
If the dot is not visible in print, but only on the camera's screen, the its only the LCD that is faulty.
If the dot is visible on screens and in print, then yes, it could be the sensor. Try taking pictures without the digital zoom. Chances are the dot is only visible with the digital zoom because the picture is interpolated.
If all else fails, you can try cloning out the spot in an image editor on the computer.
You might have "color filter" settings. Turn the digital filters off. Here is what manual at p72 says.
"You can take pictures using digital filters. The filters consist of color filters such as red, blue and green, a soft filter that produces a fuzzy effect. Color filters Eight colors, black-and-white, sepia, red, pink, violet, blue, green and yellow, are provided for the color filters. When you select a color filter in the Digital Filter mode, the display on the LCD monitor is filtered with the selected color, and the pictures are taken in that color."
Press the QUICK VIEW button.
The last picture taken is displayed. Use the arrow pad to display other pictures.
Press the QUICK VIEW button again when you are ready to take another picture.
Using the Mode Dial
Turn the mode dial to the playback option (the green arrow).
Use the arrow pad to navigate to your picture of choice.
