My dvd tray also will not eject, but I only have a single disc inside. When I fisrt pressed the open button there was a loud whirring sound, like a motor spinning without traction, and the tray failed to pop out. After several attempts with both the remote and the button on the front of the television giving the same result I was able to manually slide the tray out to retrieve my dvd. However, now when I press the dvd open button the whirring is very faint and the tray still does not come out. Any advice on resolving this issue will be appreciated. I have exactly the same problem!! taking the disc out and putting one in manually isn't a problem, it's just that when you do put one in it doesn't load or work at all!! The button won't open or close the slot and it's really annoying. Re: dvd won,t eject
This is going to require opening the unit and taking the DVD unit covers off. If you feel confident and are good with tools and have a good memory (to remember how it all goes back together), you should be able to get the DVDs out. Just remember to be careful inside the unit, go slow and don't force anything. After the DVDs are out and you have the unit back together properly it should be OK if no damage was done to the laser assembly. Good luck.
I have this tv and had the same problem but what fixed it for me is putting a knife in there and the dvd ejected. The problem was the dvd was off line from the plastic outside the tv and it was just hitting the tv. So if you put something very flat in there it might move the dvd off to the side and slide right out.

You should try unplugging the DVD player from its power source then plugging it back in. Now try to open it and if that doesn't work than you'll probraly have to take it apart to get the disk out but sometimes the DVD players can get worn out or if you have a cheaper DVD player it might just be freezing up on you. I have had these problems before. I just took the DVD player apart to get my disk and then trashed it.
It not the disc, it won't take a disc ...... if I go to put one in it Makes noise but won't actually take the disc. Would this be the loading gear and can it be fixed or?
Disc have something sticky attached on top (label ,specially rental discs') so when you try to eject disc get stuck on tray of spindle motor.Top cover need to be opened in that case in order to remove disc
If it won't read any disc you put in, consider getting a new DVD player, the eye is most likely gone bad. If it is only one disc that you can't read i would suggest a Scotch DVD Cleaner kit. Cleans and Repairs discs, helps prevent skipping and mistracking, and repairs minor surface scratches improving disc audio and image quality.
When you press the eject button do you hear the loading motor ? if yes! the loading belt is stretched or come apart preventing the tray from opening. To get the disc out is not an easy task, but one trick you can try is get a flat plastic tool "the wider the better" put it in the crevice on the top side of the door and as you pull "gently" press the eject repeatedly, If you are lucky it may pop open, if not a technician would be the next step.
1) Turn on the player with no disc in the tray
Wait till the unit is at the Samsung logo screen.
2) Open then close the tray, wait to see the No-Disc Message in the top Left Corner
3) Now press the REPEAT button on the remote, followed by a five digit code.
In this case Repeat 29334
4) When it works a 1 will appear in the top left corner
5) Press 9 to make it regionless.
6) Press Eject to OPEN to open the disc tray.
7) Press Eject to CLOSE to close the disc tray.
8) Power the unit off
9) Now power the unit on again, it should now read all regions of DVD Disc.
