Re: Motorola V3 dropping calls
It could be a firmware issue. Have you done anything to the phone's software recently? any physical damgage? battery ok?
Either fixed by a firmware upgrade - take the phone to a moto service center to run a firmware upgrade, or by a flashing/flexing of the phone, check out this thread: http://www.fixya.com/problems-solutions/t115093,p401499/Motorola-Cellular-Phones.aspx
Just keep in mind that if you screw around with it it might void your warranty if you have one, so try first with motorola.

If you have already adjusted the volume of your cellphone, then the problem is in the earpiece. If the phone dropped accidentally the earpiece loosens its contact and you need to open the phone to adjust the contacts. If the phone was not dropped, the earpiece is busted and needs replacements.
