No remote controll

I recently lost my remote controll. Should I try to buy one directly from LG or should I try a universal remote which would be much less expensive? If so, is there a brand that works best with this system? Thanks!

I purchased one of these units from Best Buy, it was the display model. The tower speakers were all broken at the middle joint and the remote was missing. I ordered a remote from LG, it only cost me $11.00 + shipping. I also ordered the plastic joint pieces for the speakers, even ordered extras. I can't complain about prices or service time.

A universal remote will work the simple commands like volume and channels, but it will not work the menu and settings for the set. You can get a original from LG for about 80 bucks or so, or you can go to http://www.remotes.com and enter your model and order online at a cost of 52.00 + shipping or call 1-800-remotes. These are exact replacement remotes. Just as good as the original.. Good Luck

What are the lg codes using chunglap universal remote control

Without a remote control; you can't unlock it. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. Have a Universal Remote by LIVING SOLUTIONS, A17G0510 and have lost the codes to program it for a LG TV. [email protected]

Try the code search with your remote.
1. Turn off your device
2. Hold the button of what you want to program (TV,VCR,DVD) until the red LED light lights up
3. Press the power button
4. Keep pressing Channel up/down until the device turns on
5. Press “OK”
6. Press power and volume/channel buttons to check it

Controller won't work

Just a suggestion,but try unplugging both TV and DVD player for ar least 15 minutes, then go back and plug in and try to turn on. IF this works then you may think about buying a univesal remote and adding both the TV and DVD player onto universal remote and should not have peoblem after that. If unplugging doesnt reset it, then I would call manufacter of TV for further instruction, cud be fuse inside of TV itself. Hope this helps and Good Luck!
