A "DLC (DownLoadable Content) code" is probably a code you will get when you either pre-ordered the game or when you bought it.
If you didn't pre-order the game, there is a much smaller chance of getting a redeemable code, and if you bought it pre-used it will not contain a redeemable code, unless the person who had it before you got the code, but didn't use it (if there is a code, but it won't work, it's probably used)
