Theres no way to tighten this as its gonna need to be resoldered and you must have experience working on tv sets due to the hI voltage issues here. If you take it to your repairman now hopefully its not to late and can easyley be repaired. Good Luck

What weight is this TV? I'm wanting to get a TV wall bracket so I can put this on to the wall. As this is an old TV and has no Freeview is there a way of connecting/getting Freeview to work

Yes there is a way buy a freeview box with a legacy scart plug connect to TV with a scart lead and use the freeview box remote to change the channel on the decoder and have the av input for the decoder on the TV and use the TV as a monitor only
as to the weight and how to mount the TV type and model would be helpful

I have a THS220 box and have difficulty recording programmes

Hello Joan,

To record a satellite you will need two scart leads.

Plug one end of the first scart lead into the "DVD/VCR SCART" socket on the back of the satellite receiver, then plug the other end into the "INPUT" scart on the back of the VCR. Take one end of the second scart lead and plug it into the "OUTPUT" socket on the back of the VCR and plug the other end into "SCART IN" socket on the back of the TV.

To record, select the satellite channel you want to record, then, on the VCR, select scart input, (at this point, you can record a satellite program). To watch a satellite channel or recorded satellite channel, select the scart input on the TV.

If you need anymore information, then let me know.

Kind regards,

Ron.

Connect a dvd player to my tv

on the back of your dvd player and tv - you should have what's called scart sockets. Most dvd players come with a scart lead - you just have to plug one end of the lead into the back of your dvd player labelled tv, then the other end into your tv.

Connecting sky box to to non scart reysis tv,via scart plug cable

This lead is usually coloured yellow and looks like the red and white leads you use to connect the tv speaker OUT sockets to an amplifier or external speakers. The input on the tv should be coded yellow also.

Hii i cannot connect my tv to the dvd player , can u tell me how can i fix this problem

I wrote this down to connect at Digital Freeview box to TV and to Video. It works for me on a portable TV and I am a grannie so if I can do it ............ I did buy one of those scart boxes which allows 4 scart leads just like an electric plug multi socket, very cheap price. Hope this helps and Happy New Year.

Take the scart connector box lead to the digi box.

The scart from the TV and the scart from the Video both go to scart box.

TV aerial itself not plugged in or used.

Bottom video aerial to right digi hole
Another aerial lead (not aerial) from TV hole to left digi hole

Xbox/TV

Try using a scart switch, therefore you only have to use a basic scart lead from the TV to the switch. then plug your xbox scart into the switch and it should work

Can't re patch tv with set top box to watch tv

Hi.

Ok here goes.

1) Take airial lead from the wall socket in to antenna in on freeview box.

2) connect short usually black airial type lead in to antenna out socket on freeview. plug the other end of this lead in to aerial in on vcr.

3) connect the other end of this aerial type lead to airial plug on the back of tv.

4) now if you have 2 or more scart sockets on the back of tv set plug in the scarts in this order.
Freeview box scart with tv on it connect to scart 1 on tv set.
Freeview box vcr scart connect to vcr in scart socket on vcr.
Vcr scart marked tv plug scart from here to scart 2 on tv
If you have 3 scart sockets on tv you can connect dvd using scart to scart socket 3 on tv.

If Tv has only 1 scart the aerial leads will stay the same as I have stated,
Freeview must go to scart socket on tv set.
leave second scart from freeview to vcr plugged in so you can record freeview by putting vcr to line 1 or AV 1.
you will need to put tv on channel (0) & tune this channel to the video play a tape that you recognise then go to tv tuning & tune tv untill you see video playing then store this on channel (0).
DO NOT USE AUTO TUNING IT WILL PUT CHANNELS IN THE WRONG ORDER JUST USE MANUAL TUNING.

Now to view Dvd you will either need to purchase A scart switch box. Or have keep unpluging freeview scart from tv so you can plug in dvd .

If your tv has red yellow white phono sockets you can plug dvd in to these, you may need to purchase phono leads.

Hope this helps.
