If the usuals won't help (new NiMH bats, cleaning corrosion from the bat contacts, trying with another good memory card, checking for bent pins in the card compartment, reseting the thing either by a prescribed manner or by taking the batteries out for an hour), then it's time to get it fixed. 6 months after purchase you should have a valid warranty, don't you? Sounds like something either in the picture processing or the lens assembly is shutting down the camera. It's not something you could fix by yourself. Even if you could find a way to fix it or get around it I would try to use the warranty if it's valid, otherwise it could come back or deteriorate. And if you do send the camera to Nikon, and get it back fixed, I suggest that you put it to heavy use straight away, take a picture of EVERYTHING for the next month, just so that if the problem is planning on repeating, that it would happen within the warranty, and not a day after it expires. Good luck

Hi, Sounds like the battery is toast. Batteries can stop charging any point in their life span. Usually I'd suggest just buying a new battery but because a battery shouldn't die like that within the first year I'd suggest contacting Nikon in your country and seeing what they'll do for you.

Where is the battery located on the polaroid onestep express instant camera?

The battery is incorporated into the photo pack: you get a new battery when you change photo packs.

The problem is that all photo packs are now long out of date.(the last photo packs were manufactured nearly three years ago) and that batteries are likely to either be dead or to have insufficient power to finish a photo pack. Photo packs which have been kept refrigerated will have fresh photo chemistry, but cold kills batteries, so the only way that they're guaranteed to work is by modifying the camera to accept an external 6v power supply.

The expense of photo packs, their scarcity and the fact that most are now useless means that Polaroid Instant cameras are now worthless and virtually unusable. Last summer, a French company acquired the rights to remanufacture photo packs but has yet to announce a production date, but if they do go into production you can expect to pay at least £30 for just ten photos.

All photo formats eventually die: unfortunately Polaroid Instant has effectively done so along with some 35mm negative and transparency films.

It's eight years old now, and if as you say it has had intermittent use, then the battery will probably have died unless charged at last once a month.

2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse won't start in the winter...(15,000km)

Try using a fuel treatment. Sometimes water builds up in the lines and makes it hard for the car to start cuz you can't combust something thats frozen... I'd recommend Lucas Fuel Treatment... either that, or maybe new spark plugs, though if the dealer thought they were fine, I don't think that's the case.
