I put my SIM card in, the phone works fine, I have reception, and I have connection to the Network. Unfortunatly, I cannot make/recieve calls+Textes. I have taken out the card and battery, and did the Master Reset, the problem continues to persist.. Has anyone else had this happen? If so, how did you fix this problem, or if you even know what do. Thank you
I have the sony ericsson c902 on t-mobile. The phone is stolen but there is full reception, but when i make a call there is a beeping sound, which everyone normally hears when you've dialled a wrong number. I also can't text because it fails.
I dont think the phone is blocked beacuse i have another Lg blocked phone which you can make emergency calls on but has no reception, but on this one you can't.
Confused!
PLEASE HELP.

Hi i got a samsung j750 with optus and i cant seem to recieve or make any calls it only works sometimes. If i go to another area it works but once i get home it doesnt work anymore. funny thing is i have had it for over 6 months now and it never seemed to happen until now :(.
Anyone know what it could be? is it the phone itself? because we rang optus and they said the servers are fine so i dont know..

Sometimes my HTC wildfire S won't send or recieve calls. It was a sporadic problem for a while, but has been happening every day for the last 4 days. Everything else is working ok(texting, etc.), but when I try to call out phone beeps 3 times and hangs up. Anyone calling just gets a fast busy tone and a "network busy" msg. Spouse is on same network.. no problems. Have tried restarting/resetting, that worked the first time, but hasn't since. Have also tried taking battery and sim card out to reset.. that doesn't work either. Please help asap, as I am currently job searching and desperately need my phone!Sometimes my HTC wildfire S won't send or recieve calls. This happens to me aswell. I think its because the phone is stolen. When i try to make a call, theres a beeping sound and texts fail to send, although there is reception & the phone works perfectly.
You cant even call 999, which doesnt happen with other blocked phones, so i reckon the police must be trying to trace the calls.
I dont know if this helps but im trying to think of a solution aswell.

Did you change phones? Sim cards? I am assuming you have the same phone, and they switched out the sim card (or maybe not?) when you changed plans.
Also, all 4G phones are also 3G and 2G phones, and they simply pick the best available. So if you lose 4G coverage, it will simply switch to the wider 3g network and when you're really remote, drop to 2G. This effects data speed primarily, there isn't any qualitative difference between them for voice and text.
It sounds like you might have something screwy with your sim card when the plan changed happened, I would call T-Mobile or visit a store and ask for a new sim card and be vocal about the poor reception after the plan change. Changing plans shouldn't normally effect reception, only changing phones/networks.
I myself experienced reception issues like yours, and the problem was a bad simcard. I'm sorry for the vague answers, but I think your best bet is to go to a T-Mobile store. They should replace the sim card free of charge.
Hi, issues like this are related to your Sim card (network), not your Cell Phone . In most cases, regarding the text messages, the problem is from the Service Operator. Have you tried the Sim card on another phone? If not, remove the Sim card, insert it on another phone and try sending a message from another mobile to you number, or you can do it in vise- versa by inserting another Sim card on your mobile.
If you can't receive text messages even when it's inserted on another handset, then you will need to call the customer care of your Network Operator and tell them your problem, they will help you fix it immediately.
You can check the message center number, but I don't think it's very much important in your case, well, if you wanna try, just check the text message settings and verify that the message center number (which is currently in use) is the same number which is on another phone with the same network (the other Sim should be of the same network in your area). If it's different, make the changes and save the settings. Also disable the "Receive Via" or similar settings.. (I can't recollect the exact settings as i don't have the same model with me, please excuse me for this.).
If the same Sim card doesn't receive text messages using another handset, don't bother to change the settings or to make any changes with it, first call the customer care and verify from them, you may make mistakes instead of fixing it.

Turn the phone off, count to 5, then turn it back on. It should find the nearest tower for a signal. A bad SIM card won't do this either like one person said. He/she was lied to at the store or by Customer Service. I used to work for AT&T Wireless & this Emergency Only issue was a big one. A bad SIM card won't allow you to place or receive calls or text messages. T-Mobile runs on the GSM network like Cingular/AT&T does. Just remember to turn the phone off for 5 seconds, then turn it back on.
Here is the code to reset...*2767*3855#
If this is helpful to you, please rate it....
I had the same issue. First, you have to identify if the problem is on the network side or on your handset. Call up the network provider's customer care service and find out if the text settings on your phone are apt. By settings i mean the service center number, 'circuit switched' 'packet switched' etc. If the settings are apt, and if you have enough text credit, the problem is with your mobile phone. Now, remove your sim card if its GSM and put it into another handset while you put another sim card in yours. Now, send text messages from each handset to the other, This will work fine. Once this is done, you can swap the sim cards again and the texts should work fine now.
Best,
k6
Factory resetting the phone will do absolutely nothing with this problem
There are 3 causes of Sim Card Registration Failed, when you first turn on the phone, the sim card attempts to connect to the network if it can not do this it gives a message like Sim Card Registration failed.
1, The sim card is turned off (is it Orange) if you have had the sim card for a while and it hasnt been used they will turn it off, you need to contact them from another phone to get it turned on or get a new sim card.
2, The phone has a hardware reception problem, when it attempts to register itself with the network it can not... There is a reception problem and it requires repairs, this isnt really an easy diy job on this handset.
3, The phone is blocked, i.e reported lost or stolen. Some networks when a phone is reported will allow it to get reception but will not let it make calls, however other networks will not give it reception at all and hence you get a Sim Card Registration failed message.
I hope this helps, these are the causes of the message.
hello there.... well it seems that the problem is with network you need to be with the network that solves your problem that is T-mobile...
get a T-mobile connection and transfer your mobile number to t-mobile...as AT&T tech support could not solve your problem its time to move ....you have tried every possible move yourself just go for better customer focused company
I think the problem is your phone has some settings that disabled your SMS functions so I suggest you to try and put your SIM card in another phone and try sendng SMS. If it works, try Reset Settings from the K800i. If it doesn't work, try changing a SIM card from your service provider.
