I dont know about the playlist. But if the Sansa LION battery goes too low it shuts down. When you plug it into your computer to charge the player, It usually powers up so the computer can detect the hardware being plugged into the USB port and provide power for charge. You need to plug in the USB cable from the player to the PC and perform a system reset - Press and hold for 20 seconds the power on button and the play button (>||). this should work you may try it on your wifes player?
Synchronizing on most mp3 players is used for transferring one or more playlists from a computer to the player, having a connection through USB.
Creating playlists, putting mp3 data in a list with a certain name,
mp3 could be put in a specific order.
The player preserves some space of memory to remember these playlists and the playing order.

> music list 2

Select "Music Library" from the Main Menu. The Main Menu should appear as the first menu when you turn your device on.
Step 3
Select "Now Playing" from the options available, then press the Options button.
Step 4
Select "Save as Playlist" from the list of options. This will save the tracks you have listed currently as a playlist that can be reloaded later.
Step 5
To play a playlist back, go to the Main Menu, select the playlist and click
You can try dragging the playlist into the folder that you open up when you connect the player and then you want to drag and drop music. Then drag the folder and drop into the music folder which means you are copying from the player to another folder on the player. This manages to solve the problem of the player re-arranging files alphabetically and may help your playlist issues.
The Vista compatible software may work different, but I have mine set to Repeat OFF, and I have no problem with playlist play. Is it possible that the songs that you put on your playlist are in the wrong format? If they were streaming files, or DRM-encrypted WMA's, there may be issues with playback. Convert the songs in your playlists to mp3 format ON THE COMPUTER, and then delete the playlists that are not working OFF YOUR SANSA. And then re-add the playlists to your Sansa.
