Locked Hey my friend found a phone and the sim card has recently been locked. He tried switching sim cards but the phone stil is locked. Is there any way of fixing this

The Samsung sgh x830 is locked with a sim lock, I have tried different codes from the internet to unlock it, however that still hasn't worked. I also lost the sim card it was locked with, please help!
You did wrong step my friend, if your phone locked by sim card you need puk code to unlock samsung sgh-x830 sim lock pin. This puk code is unique and you only can get that from your network provider, that's what is going to be happened if you just insert any puk code from internet to unlock samsung sim card. Now the only option that you have is call your network provider and explain to them your condition, i hope your sim card can be unlocked otherwise you must change new sim card.

For iphone there is no unlock codes but you can unlock by remote unlocking...Recently my friend locked her iphone here superunlockcodes.com by remote unlocking...if you are interested you can try from them before that see whether remote unlocking is available for your country and provider....

Hi what is your mobile model? its locked means whether it is locked to network? have you tried to insert any other provider's sim in a contracted mobile? if so you can unlock your mobile by unlock codes to use other provider's sim..you can either get unlock codes from your provider or can get it from online..one of my friend got unlock code from http://www.onlinegsmunlock.com/ and unlocked his mobile..you can too visit the site and can check to get unlock code for your mobile..

You just need to unlock your KU990 and then you will be able to use the phone with different network.

Says insert sim card when there is one in it
"Insert SIM" message is normally displayed on phones when a SIM card is not inserted on power-on or it does not detect the SIM card inserted.

Likely Causes:
  1. No SIM card inserted or inserted SIM card is damaged
  2. Inserted SIM card not positioned well in such a way as to make contact with the corresponding contact bridges on phone.
  3. Phone locked to a specific network and can only work on other networks when the firmware version is "flashed", that is completely changed to an unlocked version.
  4. The phone might be faulty (try with another good SIM, if you still get thesame message and its not one of the above reasons... it might be a transciever problem or the phone's SIM card slot's pins might be defective).

SIM Card Location
If its a service like Verizon, Cricket, they are what called CDMA phones, these does not come with SIM cards and therefor does not accept sim cards, there will be a slot, for it but it will locked. so better find another phone
