1200x with over heating output...does not care if it has a load unless it is too low,(Scott is wrong) have a leaky output, or a triac firing and clamping down the voltage to the speakers..the foldback shutdown may also be leaky, but these usually cause it blow fuses, and these get damaged by bad outputs or running the amp into shorts..since this amp has some really high voltages in it I suggest you take it to a shop before you KILL YOURSELF!

Not complicated.

You need to have the outputs connected to a SPEAKER or Load
These amps DO NOT like no load conditions.
Hopefully the amp channel is still good after overheating

The Idle bias or channel offset circuit is not functioning and the longer you wait before you have it repaired by a pro, the more its gonna end up costing you. At this point its probably just a small bias diode or even an channel bias alighnment .Good Luck

You have some semi-conductor device that is effected by heat and is faulty. When it get's to hot it switches off, then it cools down and comes back to life. If this is a stereo amp and it happens on both channels then you are looking for a device that is used by both channels. The only way to find out which part is to use Servisol Freezer Spray on suspect parts. You wait while it plays up and then blast (only one at a time) the suspect part with the spray. If it comes back to life you have found the part that's faulty.

I got Sony Xplod XM-ZR704 700W 4/3/2-Channel Car Stereo Amplifier and 12" sub. it play good for continuous 2 hours but after that starts tripping and goes on off. i checked all wires and connections.

Amp is probably over heating. Make sure the ohm load of speaker is good for that amp. This amp is not really built to handle a bridged 2 ohm load. Make sure ground wire is clean and tight to the body chassis.

They use a breaker instead of a fuse.

power to the amplifier.

• The amplifier's Power switch is off.

• The amplifier is not plugged into the power receptacle.

• The amplifier's high-voltage power supply circuit breaker has tripped. Verify that the AC mains

voltage is correct, then press the Circuit Breaker button on the back panel.

Take it to the ER.

My europower ep2500 amp the braker trips when I power it on

Hi,circiut braker trips only when the load on it is to much.
That is carry what is bigger than it watt, or can not carry too well. If you have another amp., you can put some load on that to reduce to braker always tripping off.

If that is the only amp. you have in what you are doing, just reduce the amp. volume to half(setting at 12 O CLOCK). it will work, but will not be too loud as before.

Take care.

Boss 2500d gets hot and trips off and on every 5 mins...

If you are bridging the amp then you must DOUBLE the "ohms load" that is specified. I.E. If you need 4ohms per channel, then when bridged you would need 8ohms per bridged channel. If your load is indeed correct then you have a fried output probably. Try to run it without any speakers on it. If it still gets hot then you for sure have a fried amp. All the symptoms you decribe sound just like you have too much of an "ohms load" though.
