Re: hotpoint 9912 washer/dryer
What exactly is your problem ? Some blackening on the circuit board doesn't mean it should be replaced.
In case the board should be replaced (you can do it yourself), you should understand first what cause it to become blackening.

hello there is usually a power board sits at the bottom if the machine is dead there a glass fuse that blows just replace the fuse make sure you use the same rated fuse the value will be on the end of the fuse hope it helps
Could be that you have a faulty motor, check the armature for signs of shorting or burning, also make sure that the brushes are contacting the armature, check the connections are o/k in the motor plug, pull on each wire individually, if still no go, and everything else is working o/k, then it look's like you will have to replace the motor.

the usual problem with tripping is the heater of the dryer box has become loose and touching an earth.
if you take the lid off you will see the box on top of the drum.
with the electric off you can look for loose/disconnected wires and wiggle the 2 metal tabs that are the ends of the heater, should not move.
you may be better with an engineer visit if it's not an obvious fault.
I have just seen the same problem on a neighbours WD440G. I have
tracked down the problem to the main circuit board at the back, bottom
of the machine. Transistor/FET Q9 has exploded. There was water at the
bottom of the machine and the wiring in the vicinity of the nearby
connector was wet.
This neighbour is in no financial position to be able to buy a new
board, or get an official Hotpoint engineer to confirm what we already
know. Anyone know where I can get a schematic diagram for the board?
your dyer stat has gone you can see this when you take the lid off make sure you unplug the machine its normaly the white one it has two wires the other one is black that's the clod one leave that only take out the white one and go down to your appliance shop and ask them for one take down the model of your machine first onece replaced job done
