If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. Some of the solutions described below can be dangerous, TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages. Coolant leaks from the CRTs are a common problem on these sets and if the chassis was moved this is even more likely. Apart from that, it's hard to tell. I heard a lot of mitsubishis have the same symptom, but It's still hard to say anything without testing the TV with special equipment. If you open it up you might find a blown fuse, but that's also a symptom, and just replacing it will probably cause more trouble when it blows again. More likely several capacitors have each gone slightly out of their original value and caused multiple transistors, diodes, and ICs to fail. This means if you don't troubleshoot and test enough components, you could end up finding ten bad components, replacing them, and then an 11th bad part causes the ten replacements to fail again. Good luck

GREETING HAPPY HOLIDAYS T.V, COMES ON THEN FEW SECONDS CUT OFF. PICTURE SHOW WHEN COMES ON & SPEAK. WHEN CUT OFF BLACK SCREEN & NO SPEAKING. WHAT'S THE PROBLEM JUST HAPPEN TODAY. TRULY

This is a power supply regulator problem. As soon as one of the resistors gets a full load, it trips the fault circuitry, shutting down the screen and preventing the screen from destroying itself.
It's either that, or there is a fuse that is almost burnt out, so that, when cold the contacts touch and it turns on, but as soon as it warms up, it turns off.

My Sony comes on then both sound and picture goes black.

After being on a little while, the screen goes black (no audio as well) for 20 to 30 seconds. Green light stays on. Then, picture comes back on and takes a couple of seconds to get up to full brightness. About 5 seconds or so after the video comes back, the audio returns.

Until this morning, has only happened a couple of times a day, now happening more often. About 3 times in last 20 minutes.

Turns off, then back on -- when image on screen is mostly white

You can contact TruTech technical service for help with your problem at these telephone numbers: 1-800-525-6123 and 1-888-525-6252. They should be able to help you with your problems with the hook-up. I hope this helps you with your problem.

SD450 all the taken pictures are bright white, but video mode still works

Sounds to me like your auto white balance is on the fritz.

First thing I would do is reset the camera. This is a fairly easy procedure which involves either going into your setup menu and choosing "reset," holding down the menu key for 5 seconds, or, removing the batteries for a few minutes. It may be that the firmware loading got corrupted and the camera just needs to be "rebooted," which is something that turning it on/off won't accomplish. But after which, you should have the camera reset to factory default settings.

Another tip is to go to Canon's website and look for firmware updates. Download and install them.

If that doesn't work, see what happens on the various other settings like cloudy, daylight, tungsten, etc. Then try setting a custom white balance.

If all else fails, you may be looking at a servicing/repair and with the average repair costing $180, if your warranty is expired it may cost more to repair than it's worth. The rule of thumb is that if the estimate for repair is north of 50% what you paid for it, you're better off taking that money and buying a newer and upgraded model.
