The URC-01 is a universal remote control that can be programmed to work with various devices, including your Sankey CLCD-1936 TV. Here are the steps to set up the remote to control your TV:
Turn on your TV and point the URC-01 remote control towards it.
Press and hold the "TV" button on the URC-01 remote until the red LED light on the remote stays on.
Enter the TV code for your Sankey TV. The code for Sankey TVs may vary depending on the model, so consult the manual or the website of the remote manufacturer to find the code for your specific model.
Once you have entered the code, the LED light on the remote should turn off.
Press the "Power" button on the URC-01 remote to test whether the TV turns off. If it does, the setup is complete.
If the code you entered does not work, you can try entering another code by repeating the above steps. Alternatively, you can perform an automatic code search by following these steps:
Turn on your TV and point the URC-01 remote control towards it.
Press and hold the "TV" button on the URC-01 remote until the red LED light on the remote stays on.
Press and hold the "Setup" button until the red LED light blinks twice.
Press the "Power" button on the URC-01 remote.
Press the "Channel Up" button on the URC-01 remote repeatedly until the TV turns off.
Once the TV turns off, press the "Setup" button to save the code.
Test the remote by pressing the "Power" button to turn on the TV.
If you are still having trouble setting up the remote, consult the user manual or contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Make sure the AC cord is not loose or disconnected. Check to ensure the cord is firmly plugged into the outlet at one end, and firmly connected to your television at the other end. The AC cord connects to the television about midway across the back of the set, near the bottom of the back panel. The hole for the AC connection is shaped like a figure eight. Try powering up the TV with the cords firmly connected.
Check the "Main Power" to ensure it is on. Locate the button on the top of the television among the "Volume" and "Channel" buttons. Press the button to switch the television on. If the "Main Power" button is off the remote will not turn on the television. Wait to see if pressing "Main Power" will activate the TV.
Press "TV Power" on the remote control to power up the TV from stand-by mode. If the power light on the front of the television glows red when you press "TV Power" on the remote, press the "Main Power" button on top of the television to remove the TV from stand-by. If the TV is accidentally in stand-by mode it may not come on when pressing certain buttons.
Check the circuit board. If your set still won't turn on and you hear a clicking noise when you plug it in, you most likely have a defective circuit board.
