Onkyo srtx601 receiver

OK, still no surround sound - left, right, center speakers work. It's been to Circuit City for possible IC problem, NO problems found by them - the got the surround left and right working fine. Think maybe simple set up feature - but need help - driving us crazy!!!!!!!!!!! No pink noise when level calibrated, etc. hookup is according to diagrams, etc. tv, dvd and cd players all work with subwoofer, front left, right and center speakers. again, think it's something in setup that we're not doing right. THANK YOU! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few months ago I bought an Onkyo AV 626. It should be a simple set up, I just have 2B&W speakers, a DVD player, & a comcast cable box. My problem is that sometimes it takes up to 1/2 an hour to get a picture on the TV. Sometimes it comes on immediately. It never happened until I got this 626. Any ideas would be appreciated. Everything else, internet blue tooth etc works fine.

It worked fine with just the two front speakers, but will not work now that weave added a center speaker and a sub.

MAKE SHURE YOU HAVE SPEAKERS PLUGED INTO SURROUND NOT SURROUND BACK AS THESE ARE FOR 6.1 AND 7.1 SYSTEMS.
TELL AMP YOU HAVE SURROUND SPEAKERS AND NO SURROUND BACK.
PS, MOST ONKYO AMPS WILL ONLY LET YOU SET THIS AS HAVEING 1 SURROUND BACK DONT WORRY AS THIS WILL NOT CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS.

HOPE THIS HELPS.

CABLE GUY.

Please add a comment to your previous post next time, it makes it easier to see this post has a relevant history. I had to go check in your profile when I saw the word "still". Shooting in the dark, and saying the obvious(just bear in mind a month ago I was going crazy over a problem that ended up being the blanace knob turned to the right) - could it be that you're not using a digital signal? I'm not sure you can get surround with analog. Make sure all settings are for digital, and that you're using a coaxial/optical cable going from the DVD to your receiver. I hope you'll end up embarassed but happy. Good luck

Onkyo TX-DS696 receiver center channel not working

Can you say explicitly that the Center Channel speaker is defined as something other than NONE?

And how does dialog sound? If it sounds ok you're routing it to the front speakers. This is from the manual...

"For ideal Surround effects, all speakers should be installed. If a
center speaker or subwoofer is not connected, the sound from the unused channel is properly distributed to the connected speakers in order to produce the best Surround sound possible."

Describe your Onkyo TX-SR875 7.1 Channels Receiver Problem All right channels are not working. Left channels including center channel speaker is working. Please advise.

Recommend changing your FINAL drive AMP IC most house BOTH right and left channels, your drivers right channel input is good cuz it is used to make the left channel signal

Garbled / feedback sounds from powered subwoofer

The surround processing portion of the unit has a problem. In either stereo or direct mode, the digital procesing is bypassed. This could be just the surround processing IC, but that IC may not be available as a separate part. I would suggest that you bring this unit to an authorized Onkyo service center for an estimate.

Surround sound speaker outlets are not working

Hello, I am sorry about your issue. If the speakers work on other terminals then it sounds like a problem with the receiver. It would need to be serviced or traded in. Please contact Onkyo at 800-229-1687 option #3. Thank you, Onkyo USA
