Question about Panasonic CT-25G6 25" TV
Part of the time the TV works fine, and other times it does not. When you turn the TV on in some cases it turns on and you can watch it for 45 minutes to an hour and then the picture starts to flip back and forth between a normal picture to just a dark screen with only a thin blue line of dots in the center of the screen. If you tap the side of the TV the screeen may come back only to fade out in another ten minutes or so. If you turn the TV off and then turn it back on once it is warm, you only get the dark screen with the thin blue lines. The TV is only 5 years old. Any idea what this might be and what parts would be needed to fix it?
You have whats known in the biz as a cold solder connection on the vertical output IC or on the associated components. Not a job for the handi-man unless you know the issues with safty, and precautions to take with Hi voltage inside of tv sets. Shouldnrt cost much for the local shop to find your problem . Now on rare occations the poor connections are inside the IC and the IC has to be replaced. Good Luck
