Repair where can I take my xbox to get repaired

It sounds like the same bugs in the system that the old Xbox, and the 360 had to deal with. They use to tell you not to press a button while the game loaded, or the game will think that the button is at (0). I would contact Microsoft and ask them what you should do directly. This issue could be cause for opening a recall on the controllers. Good luck.

That wasnt a good idea to take it apart, it voids the warranty policy. I suggest in the future to call the company. You can not fix the (R)ed-(R)ing-(O)f-(D)eath. The red ring of death is just a red light that tells you your xbox has failed to power up or has malfunctioned. This is usually the cause of a system burn out, which means your xbox is damaged from overheating. So your problem isnt the red ring, its the other hardware parts that needs repair. The red ring just tells you something is wrong and your xbox is about to be on the dead line. so next time you get an xbox, play it for a less amount of time, keep it dusted and not in a air tight place like a shelf with books, and dont leave it standing up, put the xbox on its flat side. I know you can have it standing up, they say, but it prevents better air ventilation from flowing correctly thru the console. and keep in mind to NOT take it apart if it happens again because the xbox company will NOT repair it for certain reasons if it's found there are places that have been messed with.

your disc may just have a little smug on it- clean it with a soft cloth

your disc might have been damaged by the lased- use a disc repair tool

your disc might be f***ed- GAMESTOP FTW!!!!(for the win)

It means your xbox is f-ed ^^. You can try recovering it though. The only thing you can try is downloading the latest update for your xbox. found here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/systemupdates.htm

Do everything said there (download file, put it on disc, etc.)

IF this would not solve your problem, then if you still got your warranty, you can always call the support and/or send the device back to get a new one.

I return ed the router. Tired of the headaches.

Your console has the E74 error message. Your system is dead, call Microsoft cutomer support. It is covered by the warranty so repair is free.

It may be that the modem/router has to be reset everytime you change devices.

This is because the modem only recognises the devices that are first attatched to it. It will connect t the modem, but it will not get internet until you reset it.

I have the same problem with mine, can be a nuisance but it's the only way it will work.
