You have a problem on the board which controls the unit. It is the small signal board. Part number 268850 (for models Yx38 - Yx39) or 268851 ( all models except Yx38 - Yx39). The boards are available at http://www.encompass.com for $170.00 plus shipping. Go to the site and enter as a guest. Put the correct number in the part search engine and order the part. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r6981868-replace_circuit_board_in_modern_tvs which should help with getting the old board out and installing a new board.

Hi, common issue with rca sets, you need to replace the tact switches on the front control board. If your not good at soldering / un-soldering you may be able to still purchase the whole control board, call a local tv shop with the complete model # and chassis # of your set and they can give you price & availability, video-tek
