The outside screen is called a linticular lens and the inside one is the fresnele lens. They both should come out together from the front as the trim on this set if im not mistaking pulls or slides off then theres mounting plates holding it on. Becarefull and dont try to clean the mirror as the coatings on the outside of the mirror. Also be very carefull not to touch any componets as theres extremly hi voltage in these sets even with them unplugged. Good Luck

My son was moving his WS-55517 and during cabinet

You better take this TV to the Hospital. A local tech will be able to explain to you what needs done. This is the best solution, as you can certainly make things worse.......And its safer!!!!

Where to find replacement Diamond Shield at reasonable price

My Mitsubishi Diamond Sheild also had scratches on it, and I solved the problem at no cost by taking some automotive wax, and hand-polishing the shield with a smooth rag (old t-shirt works great!) Leave it right on the television, no need to take it off.

HINT: Don't leave wax on too long, and just do a small section at a time.
