what exactly is the text problem...here are some general solution for text prediction
options > auto text > edit > clear the with field ( this solution is used for instance if you keep type hr and it comes out as hour and you want to change that)
options >auto text > new > enter word ( used to add a new word to auto text )
options > SMS > disable auto text : YES ( used to disable auto text or test prediction )
I may be wrong but your talking about predicted text right? Where you type a letter and it comes up with a word instead of the actual individual letter? - you need to change your settings in text, you can simply hold # or * on your keypad (you should see a little icon somewhere saying T9, this means predicted text) after holding one of these buttons for about a second or two, it should disappear, allowing you to type without predicted text on.
I've also had this problem. Nothing in the manual helps. Nothing on this site helps either nor any other website for that matter! Purely by trial and error I found the answer.
Go through the Menu to get to the point where you're faced with a blank screen ready for text entry. Now press and hold the # key till 'Writing language' menu comes up on the screen. Now select 'English'. The screen reverts back to a blank 'ready for text' screen but you should find now that an 'open book' icon appears alongside the 'Aa' icon. You should now find that when you start entering text that you're in predictive text mode! Why the manual doesn't explain this I don't know.
You must disable your Predictive text option, T9® predictive text mode allows you to type words with only one keystroke per letter, and the phone interprets what word you want. For example, to type the, press 8, 4, 3. To enable/disable T9® predictive text mode, select Options. Scroll to and select Prediction on or off.
try pressing either * or # it might toggle it off, otherwise when in messages go into your settings and turn off your dictionary, idealy learn to use predictive text...lol
