I turnThe tv on and stared to make funny noises in the back and after that, I get no picture.
I check in the back and there is no light or hot air coming out like always.
Tv turns on, but I get the black screen only, Im affraid to buy the bulb because if is an other problem I won't be able to return the part and get my money back.

It sound to me like a defective light engine. If so this is a very expensive repair if you set not under warranty or a service contract. This could have been damaged by a power surge.

He, he. Somebody activated the subtitle mode on the remote. Desactivate the CC mode on your menu and it'll go away or at least if you want CC put it in CC1 Text1

If you're good with electronics you can probably do it yourself. It's the price of the part that hurts ... around $1000.

Good Day, LDS also;
You may have a poor seated cable connector. Unplug TV from A/C, remove back look for a large black connector. It connects between the Main Digital Module and the Drive PWB. Re-insert both ends several times to make better contact, use contact cleaner if have but not always needed. Good Luck, big IRISH.

same problem
I have this same problem. I had the screen on and out of nowhere the tv just went out. I turned the remote on to see if the screen would come back on and it keeps going through a series of signals and it stopped on the "lamp" button which is red. Also, there is no sign of sound coming out of the screen. So would it be wise to purchase the lamp but that is not going to help with no sound coming out.
Please help me!!!!!!!
