Machine stops working this a symptom of defected motor timer. Before testing the timer motor, unplug the dishwasher or shut off the power at the breaker panel to avoid an electrical shock hazard. The timer motor regulates the length of time power is routed to each component. If the timer motor does not function properly, it can result in a wide range of problems. Common symptoms include sticking in a cycle, cycle times running too long,or short, or failure of the dishwasher to start at all.
To service the timer motor, it is necessary to access the control panel in the door. Access varies by model; on some models you can remove just the control panel on others you must remove the interior or exterior panel of the door.

Hope it may help you;

Regards,

Can you provide the make and model number of your dishwasher ..........

If it is wiring fault
check the wiring to the door switch, the wiring between the door and the lower part of the dishwasher, and the wiring to the timer. Repair any broken, burned, brittle, or defective wiring, using the proper appliance-grade wire and connectors.

Timer light on front panel of dishwasher has stopped working--how is it replaced?

Most of the led lights are fused to the circuit board. Sounds like the circuit board is going or gone bad. I'm not sure because you did not give the model of the dishwasher.

Most of the control lights are led and do not go bad. But the circuit board that controls the lights can go bad. You may be able to fix the control circuit board but replacing it would be easier.

Currys essentials dishwasher error warning

Just installed a CDW60W16 at my daughters house. worked ok empty but as soon as it was loaded the glass icon lit up and beebs. when I turned it over to take a look at the float switch I noticed that the levelling legs were all screwed in so the base of the machine was sitting on the floor. so when the machine was loaded the pressure switch operated as it was being pushed up by the floor. I unscrewed the legs a few turns to allow an air gap between the floor and base of the machine and all working fine now. on checking the installation instructions it only mentions loosening the legs to level it if required which is wasn't. maybe the manual should give instructions to unscrew the legs a few turns to prevent this

Dishwasher will not finish cycle.

This could be one of a few things, first it sounds like it may be getting stuck on the rinse cycle, check if the water in the machine is hot if not there is either an element problem or the timer is not functioning properly,if the water is hot then it may not be draining before taking on rinse water the best way to determin if it is indeed draining and refilling is to switch the machine off ,take the drain hose and put it on the floor or in a bucket,if it drains let it finnish and then put back and switch the machine on it should fill and continue.if it does not drain then you have a blocked pipe or fualty pump,Do not reset the machine

Bleeping dishwasher

Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

  • On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.

  • On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

    Dwf50 hotpoint aquarius dishwasher

hi, just found this forum after searching the web 4 a solution to my hotpoint DWF50 problem.
I came down this morning to a machine which base tray was full of water and lights 3 ECO & 4 Fast flashing.
Anyway my solution was as i had seen a hotpoint engineer do once before was to press the start/reset button trip the catch, to fool the machine into thinking the door is closed then put in a program, press start, the machine hums slightly but doesnt do anything then after removing the large filter from the tray at the bottom underneath the lower basket insert a length of wire, with a loop on the end (Tip i used a wire coat hanger from the dry cleaners) poke in ythe hole that the dirty water drains from, after a bit of poking about the pump started working and the water drained away. Tip place a hook at the other end of your wire impliment to put your finger in to stop the wire getting caught in the pump mechanisim. After wards u have to hook back the door catch to the normal position, Tip another piece of the coat hanger with a right angled piece at the end will do this. This worked for me, saved me some money esp as D & G insurance ran out 2 weeks ago.....stu

Dishwasher runs but does not clean

Try using a cycle that doesn't heat the water. (Quick cycle?) Using high heat rinse or sanitize will stop the timer while it heats the water. The sensor may be bad.

    Brand new dishwasher not working

try this test: add water (one gallon each try) by hand fill and try the cycle again. Continue until light goes out. If light never goes out, then faulty water level switch or wiring. If light goes out, then water inlet valve is stopping too early, but need more info to determine why. Try this test: open door and find the door switch. Then activate the switch and turn on machine to watch water come in. It should not just "dribble" in; try to determine if water pressure is sufficient coming in.

    Bosch SHU5316

Sounds like the control module is out -- cost about $100 (I am on my third). I got a "lifetime" warranty when buying my second one. If you are handy, you can replace it yourself. You can call Bosch to confirm this (I did). It mounts inside the door.
