If your missing the Crescent Tool for your Jack Lalanne juicer, shouldn't matter what version, use your modern day, whatcha been using since grade school.....SCISSORS. Yes SCISSORS, ladies and gents! Stupid me, went to that "Official Site: Jack Lalanne...etc., etc., etc.," and spent $7 bucks and still waiting for them to process. May take 2-3 weeks for delivery?!?!?!?!?!?!?!. Here's how ya do it: Open the scissors up in a X....... Do you get it now. If not, here ya go: Place the sharp, pointy, blunt (for the grade school scissors), ends inside the holes. while placing your fingers at the cross section. Becareful, what those fingers! While holding the basket, your can turn left or right for loosening and tightening. Permanent or Temporary Fixforya.

also you can use kitchen cabinet drawar handle from any hard ware store, very cheap a couple of dollars, you need to find the same dimeter of the juicer blade to match with the 2 secrews on the handle.

The scissors did the trick placed both ends into each hole and with slight twist it released - was able to remove the scissors at that point and using a pot holder I unscrewed it the rest of the way!

Just find a big wire around 1/8 diameter. Bend it and insert both ends on the blade holes. Cover the sharp blade with cloth or use leather gloves.

I had the same prob - couldn't locate the crescent tool in the U.K. My husband used a long thin phillip head screw driver in the holes to loosen and tighten (improvisation) - you have to hold the basket firmly with one hand whilst inserting screw driver in 1 hole to turn it.

Bought this from Walmart- $2.27. Pried the short chrome legs apart to match the position of the wholes on the blade. Instant, cheap crescent tool.

Use a wire hanger twist in to a pretzel shape... leave the two ends short enough to line up with the holes on the blade... make sure the two ends are shorter than a 1/2 inch and fits comfortable in your hand. NOW YOU HAVE A PERMENANT TOOL.

Hi i just bought a jack lalanne juicer from my friend but unfortunately, she no longer had the crescent tool but after reading the solutions on here i thought id try them.... i found the only one that worked for me was the scissors solution but please be very careful as band aids may be required

Theres a YouTube video that a gal put up where you can buy a drawer pull (for approx $3.99) where the screw ends will line up with the holes in the blade. You can use the 2 screws that come with it or buy 2 longer screws & screw them into the drawer pull. Then cut off the heads of the bolts. You have an instant crescent tool!

I solved the blade issue so you won't slice up your knuckles. Unscrew the screws and remove the blade, turn it over and replace the screws loosely but enough to unscrew the basket. It may be extra, but extra is better than sliced knuckles.??

I was getting frustrated because I had taken my juicer out of storage that had been in storage for years. I had given away the pulp catcher and crescent wrench (very unorganized) I was checking prices for parts until I read this page and WA-LA, I was very careful to keep my fingers and the scissor method is a life saver, thank you. The basket to catch pulp can wait I can sweep up celery pulp easily, lol

From your tool shop take two awls and gently insert in the two holes and twist, The thickness of the awls is almost the thickness of the crescent tool, and you don't have the scissors fear of getting cut or playing around getting a hangar to be a makeshift tool. Our crescent tool has just gone missing, and using the awls worked like a charm

I need to find/buy 2 replacement parts for my jack lalanne stainless power juicer model SSMT1000 - the crescent tool and the pulp collector. Do you know where to find replacement parts?

Replacement parts for the Jack LaLanne Power Juicer can be purchased on-line from the following website:

https://www.unitycart.com/pjss/parts/parts_classic.asp

Select your model from the horizontal menu bar; unfortunately not labeled by model number. Scroll down to see the available replacement parts and add to your cart.

How do you use the crescent tool?

A crescent wrench is just an an adjustable wrench you turn the thumb wheel to either open or close the jaw to fit the nut or bolt you are working with. when using, the stationary jaw should always be up, or the adjustable jaw always down or the stationaryopposit the direction you want to turn. Real handy, but sometimes too bulky in tight places.
