PIM Appointments 5 hrs off

When I sync appointments to my phone using PC Studio 3 , they are always 5 hrs later than the ones on my Outlook calendar . Strangely, I can correctly add appointments by using the Phone Editor as a manual workaround but this is not ideal. I am using the most up to date version of PC Studio 3. Is some setting that is not correct???

How to configure outlook calendar to sync with winphone 7 calendar My phone is a HTC HD7. Currently I am runnning 2 calendars and I am starting to run into problems with missed appointments. I have...

The most ideal path is to download the Hotmail connector and after that sync up your Outlook mail/timetable with the Live ID, you used to set up the Windows Phone. It will stay up with the latest continuously and give a simple method to get to your mail from the web, phone, or work area.

LG KP500 Cookie bugs - Calendar Alarms and Sync

I wouldnt recomend this phone at all! Have had it 4 months now and had so many probs including:
1. Sometimes the alarm comes up but doesnt make a sound or vibrate so obviously i sleep right through it
2. It will randomly turn itself off
3. At least once a day when someone texts me ill get the same text two or three times. I'd blame their phones but its not just one person!
4. It randomly was diverting all my calls at one point although id never set it to do that.
5. The sensors dont work right. WHen you go on the internet if you turn the phone to one side the screen also turns. Ill be holding mine the right way up but the screen will still turn, it needs a lot of shaking to correct itself.
6. I cant move anything about on my screen. I had a few speed dials up but got sick of accidentally ringing them, they wont move anywhere on my screen so i cant put them away. However it lets me drag other speed dials onto the screen (but not back again so my screen is packed with speed dial boxes!)
Do not buy this phone!!

Problem with SAMSUNG SGH G600

Like i said earlier for 5 dollars i will send anyone a copy of samsungs pc suite. this incredible disc will have all sorts of wallpaper ringtone but most importantly will allow your phone to do what it was designed to do and that is synchronise with your pc so you can transfer files back and forth no problem. paypal 5 dollars to [email protected] and i will burn the cd and get it in the mail immediatly. be sure you match contact info with payment so they don't get confused.

Thanks and be sure you get a usb cable for your phone.

IPhone sync with Outlook Calendar - Appointment time put on iPhone 1 hr later.

This solution pertains only to the one hour time difference people notice upon syncing to MS outlook.

In iPhone, there are two areas where you have an option to change your time settings.

1. When you go to 'settings', then to 'general', you can set up time and date, and also 12-24 hour format. Please note that changing the time here DOES NOT correct the problem, despite iPhone displaying correct date, time and time zone. Many people in this thread have stated that the problem persisted despite them setting appropriate time zone.

2. When you go to 'settings', then to 'mail, contacts and calendars' row (NOT the 'General' row) - you get an option to change your time zone at the very bottom of all the choices. You will see that wrong time zone is selected here - likely cause of the problem. Correct this choice and the one hour discrepancy between appointments in outlook and iPhone disappears.

Additional problem solutions - in the solution No. 2, if you set 'Time Zome Support' to 'ON', then all your appointments in the calendar will be displayed in the time zone of your HOME address. In other words, for example, if you are a person in central time zone, your appointments will be displayed ALWAYS in central time zone format - they will NOT change automatically when you travel from central time zone to eastern time zone. On the other hand, if you set the time zone support to 'OFF', then all your outlook appointment display times will change and adjust according to any time zone you travel to - This is often an inconvenience since most of us would like to remember our appointments as they were made in our home time zone, regardless of what time zone we traveled to.

Please note that the above solution pertains to only display of appoint times in outlook - This solution does NOT relate to the time displayed by iPhone and how that displayed time adjusts when you travel to different time zone away from your home time zone. This second issue is addressed below -

You can get your iPhone to display the current time in two ways -

1. Either always show the time in your home time zone, regardless of where you are (i.e., a person from Texas central time zone can set up to see the time always in central time, even if he/she travels to another time zone). This display setup is good for people who always think of time in their home time zone and then do mental conversions to reach at the local time zone time.

2. On the other hand, you can get iPhone to do this for you and change displayed clock time automatically to the local time zone that you have traveled to, away from your home time zone. Please note that enabling this capability in iPhone has no bearing on how the appointments are displayed in MS outlook.

Go to 'Settings'. Go to 'General' tab. then click on 'date and time'. Pick the 'set automatically' option to 'ON'. Now, the iPhone will automatically adjust displayed time to show the current time in which ever time zone you travel to.

If you set the 'set automatically' option to 'OFF', then you can select your home time zone. Then, the iPhone will always display time in your home city time zone and will NOT change even if you travel to a different time zone.

So, in summary, there are two places you need to adjust the time zones in iPhone - to do two separate tasks, first task of displaying appointments always in your home time zone upon syncing with outlook thereby avoiding the one hour skip; Second task of getting iPhone to display either your home time zone clock, or getting it to adjust current time to reflect the time in new time zone you travel to.

Hope this helps.

Unresolved Items when synching

Try the following.... Open Active sync on your PC. Double Click on Calendar. Change the settings such that it syncs only 0 past and 0 future appointments. SYNC (this will clear all calendar items on the IPAQ) Now go back in to those Calendar settings, and set it back to the default which is 2 past weeks and All Future appointments. SYNC (this will now reload all appointments into your Ipaq)

Casio pocket pc calendar doesn't show appointments that were syncronized from outlook: If I sync with outlook, the appointments I add on the Casio E-125 show in outlook, but the ones I add in outlook...

The Menu: VIEW - Categories option at the bottom, has all categories checked off. However, the logic dictates that it will only show the categories checked off, and if any appointment (appointments being made in outlook are not categorized) with no category would not show in the pocket pc. The logic written into the software, is, if no categories are checked off, then it will show ALL appointments. It would be nice if there was an option in the category view menu to SHOW ALL, but there isn't. You just have to uncheck all the categories.
