You don't say if the playback is out of focus or it's just out of focus through the viewfinder. If it's the viewfinder usually underneath the eyepiece will be some sort of ajustment. This is called a diopter control and it's designed for people with varying eyesights. What's good for you probably wont be good for me. The cheaper cameras simply use a push pull device with a locking screw to stop it changing. Check your manual and see how it's adjusted. It sure makes a big difference. BMW

I believe that this is the same question which I answered previously. Here is the answer again - If your unit has a switch for manual focus, put it in manual. If you cannot focus the unit in manual you have a problem with the lense and it will need repaired and/or replaced. If you do not have manual focus you will not be able to troubleshoot the unit. It could be a lense problem as stated before or a problem with the Auto Focus system, perhaps just out of adjustment, or something more serious. Either way if you are not capable of camcorder repair you will have to seek the help of a reputable repair shop. Good luck.

After reading BMW rider's response I have to agree that you need to check the diopter first. It just didn't occur to me because I assumed from the post that crispy has had the camera for a while and knew about this focal adjustment and proper operation. If adjusting the diopter does not solve the problem crispy, then my original post would apply and you have a lense issue. Good luck.

I have a canon eos 600d camera on the Cld screen there is a little white square in the middle how do I remove it please

Is that the indicator of your focus area ? If so, look in the manual and see what menu setting you need to use to remove it.

While seeing through display area it shows blurred vision

Your camera has a feature called MF (Manual Focus) if it is switched to MF, the autofocus won\'t work. If on the right side of the screen is MF, you are sure the camera is in that mode. You can change that in Recording Menu 2.

The manual is still online.

My canon rebel xsi is not letting me take a picture on auto focus

It is possible you are trying to focus on somethind that is either completly white or completely black. It has trouble focusing in the dark as well. make sure your auto focus point (The red dots in your view finder is in the centre. you can move the red dot with the button on top of your camera that looks like 4 squares. simply look through your viewfinder push the shutter button down half way and the red dot should flash. if it isn't in the centre then move it with the button on top (4 squares) and try again until you get it in the centre.

SD550 camera not focusing correctly. Green focus square sometimes shows up, sometimes not, either way, it's not clear even on the digital screen prior to taking the shot. Camera does make a slight click...

to make the green square show up just press the shutter button until half (this is called the half press) when the green square shows up then it means that the camera has focused already, if not repeat the process til green square comes out you can press the shutter button fully to take picture when you see the green square...

My Canon Powershot SD630

What do pictures taken at night/poor light look like ?? if they are an improvment ,
your Exposure/Auto-Light/White Balance settings may be horribly configured.

Firstly I'd try Resetting the camera to default settings by using the settings menu .
>Menu >Settings >Reset default settings

This should eliminate poor settings as a suspect for the problem.

What autofocus modes does the DiMAGE A2 employ?

AF single or AF continuous can be selected. In AF single mode, focus is calculated and set when the shutter-release button is pressed partway down. This mode is mainly useful for a stationary subject. In AF continuous mode, camera continues to focus on a moving subject even when the shutter-release button is pressed partway down. It is convenient to capture the moving subject. When setting spot focus point in AF continuous mode, subject tracking can be used. (Subject tracking can be turned on/off by the recording menu. ) When selecting the Spot Focus Point, Full Time AF can be used*. * Full Time AF can be turned on/off on the setup menu. * Sensors mounted on the grip and on the eyepiece detect when the camera is held.

Noise during video recording

Turn off Continuous AF (auto focus) to prevent recording camera noise during video capture. When you turn off Continuous AF, you may notice a narrower area of focus or depth of field, especially if you zoomed to a telephoto position before recording. Turn the Mode dial to Video, then press the Menu button. Highlight the Continuous AF menu, then press the OK button. Highlight Off, then press the OK button. (On is the default.) Press the Menu button to turn off the menu screen. This setting remains until you change it, change the Mode dial, or turn off the camera.
