Motor brushes? Machine started making funny crackling noises and then stopped spinning. Now it just has some of the lights on and wont do anything. From past experiens I guess the motor brushes are gone? looking underneath I can only see one of the brushes pointing directly downwards - do I have to take the motor off to get to the other one?
I am not familiar with your specific washer, but there are some washers that has a hole in the bottom that allow you an access to the brush. In case you don't have this access (I hope that you will have !) you should take the motor off for it.
Good luck !

Check the fan blades and see if it's being restricted.Another method is remove the fan blade turn the unit on and see if it spins if it doen'nt tap the motor gently and see if turns. If this works the motor brushes are worn
Hi if your beko 1000 spin washing machine wont drain or has a spin problem then you have to check the carbon brushes first.
Also check all waste pipes are clear and inspect the pump I have included this video below.
At our website I am doing self diagnostic videos on these beko's as we speak so all tutorials will be in this link below How to replace Beko Washing Machine Motor Carbon Brushes
you might find this test video helpful but only do it if you have checked the motor
This deffenitly could be the brushes. Wierd sound normally comes from the electric sparking between the stator and the brushes. If it are not the brushes the best bet will be the bearing.
Either the child lock is on - press and hold quick-wash and anti-crease, at the same time for three seconds.
Or your machine need re-seting
Turn power button off (not at wall) Select 90 degree wash Press Start and Cancel button down at same time for 3 seconds and turn power button on whilst still holding buttons down - Start light will flash. Leave power on. Select any Spin position. Press Start and Cancel button at same time again for 3 seconds - other buttons may start to flash - if they do, press Start and Cancel button together again for 3 seconds. Machine should be re-set ready for use. Good luck!
