Frozen screen and won't play

When i turn it on it's stopped in the middle of a song and won't play or do anything

Frozen on.

Problem resolved. I just let it sit until battery went down far enough for "Battery" alert to come on screen.
From there I put a charge on it and everything works fine now. Probably I should have kept it charged up.

recovery mode. slide the hold switxh so that is is redish hold record keep holding record and plug into computer.
