Question about Maytag Atlantis MAV6260AWW Top Load Washer
Bshu, first get yourself a bunch of rolled towells or something of that nature to place between the tub and rear cabinet. This way when you lean it back the pulley will stay centered with the hole. Remove the cap to the thrust bearing, it just pops off. You will see a lock ring sitting on washers. You can remove this with a flat blade screw drive and the cam will come off. Pull down on the pulley but be carefull to remember the order of the washers and bearings. If you are going to replace the thrust bearing kit, the part number is 12500036 series 12. This kit will come with a new pulley. After you have installed the new kit, getting the last retaining clip on can get frustrating. It is tight and you may need a third hand...hope this gets you going.
