If you have Norton 360, go to the top bar (task bar) and click on settings, in the new window click on "Task Scheduling" and you'll get two tabs "Automatic Task" and "Scheduling" then choose what you want from those tabs.
first go google then type in Mozilla firefox in the search bar
when that site comes up , download Mozilla firefox onto your computer
when the screen search page comes up tick the make this my home page box
now in the programs section on the desktop , click and drag firefox to the bottom task bar
now in future when you open the computer , all you do is click on that icon in the task bar and you are opened in the firefox search page
Right click (hit right mouse button) on task bar and click to lock task bar and uncheck hide task bar. If you cannot right click on time before it disappears move pointer to the bottom of screen and it should reappear. Than follow above steps. If all else fails restart computer clicking on the F8 key repeatedly until start menu comes up , choose safe mode and when the computer starts up your task bar should remain in place, follow above steps to unhindered it permanently and reboot the computer it will start back up in normal mode and your task bar should be "fixed"
It is possible to make the task bar taller than it is by default, and this is the only way that I know of to change the size of the task bar, so I have to assume that you are asking how to take the task bar back down to the original "tallness." You would put your mouse cursor at the top of the task bar until it turns into a double-headed arrow, and then click down and drag the top edge toward the bottom of the screen until it is the normal height. If the task bar is locked, this cannot be done, so make sure it is unlocked by right-clicking on an empty spot on the task bar and make sure that "lock task bar" is not checked first.
The problem may not be associated with the Norton program. Just to reconfirm, disable the Norton from your task bar and then check if the computer can shut down correctly.
You are probably talking about the windows Task bar that normally resides at the bottom of the screen: . Two ways of moving this task ba, to top/bottom/letft/right position of the display:
Move the cursor on a blank/inactive area on the task bar, usually in the largest blank area towards the right, click and hold the right mouse button and drag the Task bar to the bottom of the screen.
Go to the Task Bar 'Properties' (You can get this context menu by clicking the left mouse button after putting the cursor on a blank/inactive area on the task bar) and change the 'Task bar location on screen' option.
Assuming "tool bar" = Task bar and your OS = XP It's possible your task bar is hidden on bottom just drag the bottom line of your screen upward Check if your task bar properties are set to "hide the task bar" remove the setting
