Normal 0 Sending Fax Using Calling Card:

Load document in the ADF
Press [FAX]
Adjust settings for your documents as necessary
Press [Hook] Alternatively, you can lift the handset if one is connected to the machine.
Dial your calling card information responding to all calling card prompts on the fax key pad. After dialing the recipient’s number using the numeric keys or speed dialing, wait for the high-pitched fax signal.
When you hear a highpitched signal, press [Black} for black & white sending.. Hang up the handset if you used it.

I can fax to local numbers but not to long distance numbers. Phone company has no clue.

Your problem is how you have set up your long distance carrier. You may not be able to use your fax if you must first go through a phone card system. However, sometimes you can use enough pauses in your fax dialing to get through it. If your long distance carrier is your local phone company, they SHOULD be able to tell you how to dial.

We are having problems with our Muratex F110 fax machine. It won't send long distance faxes. the phone company says it is not on their end. any suggestions?

Well technically it's not on thier end. Let's remember that a fax uses a normal home style phone line.
So ask yourself these questions.
#1 Do I have long distance service on this phone line?
#2 If I do have long distance service do I need to do any kind of special dialing sequence to access long distance? Like a 9 or an 8 or any other number before dialing outside of your local area.
In some cases( businesses usually) a special code needs to be entered after dailling the number.
Most fax machines have a hansdset on them. Do this simple test. Lift the handset and dial a known long distance number and listen to what the operator message says. If all else fails call your phone company and ask them if this line has long distance capability.

I need help faxing. It is saying incomplete transmission followed by ADF?

You probably should include some extra information here. (do you get a dial tone? Faxing from the glass or the Auto Document Feeder? Long distance? Do you have another phone that you could "listen in" to the fax call from?)

I can tell you that ADF stands for Automatic Document Feeder though.

Fax using a calling card

I use a calling card for long distance faxes. You don't have to "set" anything. They just mean listen to the printer. I am not at home right now to get the specific steps, but I believe all you do is put your fax stuff in the document feeder (I don't know if you can do this directly from the computer) and enter the 1-800 number from your calling card. Then the calling card will ask for your options and you will hear it from printer. That's what they mean by monitor. Then just follow the prompts.

Can't send a fax.

This can be tricky and sometimes requires some playing around with to get the settings you need. Here is a document that HP created for just your situation. You may need to try it a few times to get the timing right but once you figure it out you should be able to use the same formula for all other fax calls long distance.

Hp L7580 fax machine

set up the fax driver in windows printers and faxes menu with the calling card prompts. you can use commas between sets of numbers for 2 second pauses. such as (example) 9,,1800callmci,,,2,,3,,cardnumber,,,4digitpin,,3685551212, - in this fashion, you can edit the fax number here before sending the fax.

Fax

An access code is normally set up by a person or company to prevent long distance faxes or phone calls by unauthorized users. The access code is a series of numbers to access long distance service. Check with your employer for the long distance code or check with you carrier to make sure that this service has not been put on your line by mistake.

Only lets me enter 7 digit number

Use the chain dialling feature. Program the 1-800 into a quick dial key and chain dial using it.
